Man arrested for marijuana possession after complaining about motel

Recommended Posts

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. (AP) - A man who called police after employees at a Mountain Home motel refused to give him a refund when he decided NOT to stay there ended up getting free accommodations - at the county jail.

Mountain Home police say they arrested 26-year-old Phillip Ruch of Baxter County after finding an outstanding warrant for his arrest for a felony marijuana delivery charge. Police say officers also found more than five ounces of marijuana in the pocket of a fishing vest inside of Ruch's car.

Officers say Ruch called police at 1 am this morning complaining about the service at the Ramada Inn in Mountain Home. Ruch told dispatchers that employees wouldn't give him a refund for a room he purchased only minutes earlier after he decided to leave.
