I went from watching your vid to the canna cup expo vid then to a how to use an anti gravity bong then aa vid on Britney Spears Stoned

For cannabis to have half a chance of being legalized in Australia, the idea that a large proportion of the anti-cannabis public holds ' that anything to do with cannabis = hippys ' has to end or so many uses for cannabis will never be taken seriously by them. They will only ever see it as a plant smoked by people they consider to be dropouts and nothing else. They dismiss all information presented in front of them, no matter how true it is, as " an excuse used by hippys to smoke pot" and the laws stand.

Yeah, it's an unfortunate connotation that rose up out of the 60's and 70's when the western (white) world really started to take cannabis as a recreational drug to the masses.

 

"The powers that be" have continued this association and negative connotations as far as they can... Once upon a time they were saying that pot smokers were violent rapists too, but we all know that's a pile of crap now, don't we?

 

The problem is, the people don't really believe their government anymore, and if they do, it's only because they haven't challenged the "reality" that they sell to us....

 

What we need is Kevin Rudd to win the election then proclaim he won with the power of pot. Now that would help our cause, we need lots of nerds who smoke weed to stand up...

 

Course, wouldn't do him any favours, but that's what I think is required... the "respectable" member of society, the judges, the politicians, the doctors, who know the facts and choose to smoke or at the least respect the fundamental HUMAN RIGHT of all people to alter their consciousness as they see fit... (with the proviso that they aren't hurting anyone...)

 

Who knows, perhaps it's just around the corner?
