led lights

hey. i was told by a mate yesterday about the possibility of using banks of led light bulbs to light up my seed raising fridge. i was telling him about c130 cfl lights, and he reckoned you could achieve the same amount of light using led's. which are cheaper to run and you can position them more accurately. as in, 10 to 15 banks of ten. think they are 2 watts. .............wattiya think...........cheers ...bb

very interesting post alright.. looks a bit exxy for me though. i was just looking at the possibility of using leds to replace high watt compact fluoros, or at least compliment them. i'm just rebuilding my seedling/clone setup. thats some impressive stats about the led's. for a full time grow, they sound great. lot of money though. i'm a bit into overkill, so i think the setup for about $1500 would do me.

i was thinkin about spendin $300 on my fridge. .....cheers...bb...
