is it correct that U only water the plants during the day? u turn the water off at night? (in a dwc setup)

what about air? common sence tells me that the air pumps have to be on 24/7

and and and...one more.

 

in my dwc setup, the water is flowing all the time. is this enough water or do i have to put drippers on the tops of the pots too?
