as people have already said the PH fluctuation will be a killer unless ur using a RTW system good luck with things

if you have been running the light for over a week there shouldnt be a problem but no point keeping the light on if the PH will be out in a week give it another week ur plants will be pretty much gone IMO ur worring about the wrong thing ATM

Yeah man, I reckon I probably just got lucky in the end...

The ph did have some negative effects on the plants I think... or was it the temperature in the room?

They looked real good when I got home, but you know what they say..."A problem today will show in around a week or so and by that stage, the plant's been copping it for a while'...

 

With the lights on situation, besides 'checking' everything most evenings, the room runs unsupervised. While I'm at work or even asleep for that matter, should a fire or something of that nature occur, there would be bugger all I could do anyway. All I was trying to do was keep them alive, not to get them to grow at all. I was hoping for at least one out of the six to make it so I could get clones if needed.

In hindsight, RTW would be the go I reckon...
