hi, ;) i work in the construction industry and was just wandering if you could use the reflective material [insulation ,on new houses , the shit they put between the timber and the bricks ] for lining the grow room ? cos , it's free for me !

it says it's heat resistant , and looks the part , but hey i'm asking any-one who knows - would it work?

in my early days when i first started growing the "medicial herb" I used that stuff and worked great since I was living in Tassie, kept the grow area warm also in winters, but now since I live in the tropics, I use flat white painted walls now.... its easier to handle and less hassle than these reflective materials.

They still work, but flat white painted walls is better. imo.

cheers,

That is exactly what I use, but I paint it with flat white ceiling paint so that it reflects the plants usable light spectrum better.

so flat white paint is what is recommended, rather than gloss?

Yes.

Additional: I am in the process of collecting the materials to build a more spacious grow room, at this stage I am seriously considering panda film for my reflective lining.
