Hmmm, should be ok if you've got a 12 volt power supply to run them.

You'll have to find a nameplate on the motor that sais how much current in Amps they use and get a power supply with at least 25% more current capacity than the fans. I'm not trying to be a know it all but I am an Electrician. My suggestion is to go to Bunnings and look for those 10 inch, 3 speed oscillating fans that sit on the floor, just make sure it sais somewhere on the box 'Rated for continuous use' Last ones I bought cost around $30 each. They're great, can sit them anywhere, use em as vent fans, turn them down to low and use them oscillating on the plants,... just suggestion mate,

those fans are no good im pretty sure the computer in the cars control the fans speed to reduce the chance of drawing alot of amps so without the computer you will be running that fan flat stick and i dont think the 12v power packs have a high enough amp rating those fans have a 30amp fuse plus if u do get one running they vibrate a shit load go sit in your car let it run for 15mins u will feel the car when the fan turns on

just seen ya post frazzy as i was replying lol yeah ur right there not designed to push the air far as the car thermo fans screw up against the front or back of the car radiator so the air doesnt need to be pushed a great distance but some cars do have a half a ducting type safty guard that forces the air over the motor after it has been sucked thru the radiator but the one pictured looks like a front mounted type
