20.5% of People with HIV use Cannabis medicinally

Brash

Question

HIV Futures 5 'Life as we know it', a 2006 survey by La Trobe University has found 20.5% of respondents use Cannabis for therapeutic purposes in the past 6 months. 982 HIV+ people were interviewed believed to represent 6.4% of Australia's total HIV+ population (approximately 16,000). This equates to approximately 3,200 HIV+ Australians who regularly break the law simply for treating their illness.

A further 44.9% admitted to recreational Cannabis use.

I was one of the 982 and I break the law daily, therapeutically of course :-)
