I have a few mates that only ever use bloom nutrients in there setups from start to finnish whilst clonning, growing and into bloom etc!!!

I figured if most of my mates do this some others out there might as well so if you do this please state so.

If you are like me and see the errors in this Please help me as i will be showing them this as an end to our many years of arguements!!

The reason why Grow and Bloom nutes are sold seperately is because plants have different nutrition needs during vegetative and flowering stages, so if you want to grow your plant optimally during BOTH stages then you need both Grow and Bloom nutes to target both stages. There isn't a great deal of difference between the nutes though (mostly just different levels of the same stuff) and all the required growing nutrients like N P and K exist in both so you can grow a lot of strains all the way to harvest using just Grow or just Bloom nutes if you want, but you'll never be getting 100% out of your plants, for example in your mates case his plants will be smaller going into flower then they should be given the time he's spent vegging them (which ultimately equals less yield/smaller buds), plus it would make things like nute burns/deficiency easier to come across, so it doesn't make any sense to me to go that route ... you don't even save any money because you're still using the same amount of liquid!

[edit] this page sums it up ...

http://www.a1b2c3.com/drugs/mjgrow9g.htm

During vegetative growth the plant needs lots of N (nitrogen). 7-9-5, or 20-10-10, or 7-4-10, or 30-15-15, or something similar, with trace elements should do it. If you are not sure what to get, look for a hydroponic nutrient solution recommended for growth.

During flowering the plant needs less N (nitrogen), more P (phosphorus), and more K (potassium) than it did during vegetative growth.

hey there shit

to gve ya a quick answer you can grow just using flower nutes as they are simillar but you would have to add more nitrogen or use more of the A part as this is the one that usually has the nitrogen

but would be heaps better for ya veg growth to use a good set of veg nutes
