Hey all just a little info. cant seem to locate..

 

I am doing a 24"x24" x ? with a 400w hps light. I would like to make lite perm. in cab. but dont know how far to place above screen to work from start to finnish..If this is possible ? I see some have it but they dont say how far away to place lite.. All help will be appreciated..

lights can easily be fixed to small pully with curtain cord.. makes it easy to lower and raise as needed... how ever.. if you want it fixed.. its best to have it up as high as it goes... and then just raise the pots.. or tray as needed... try the pully, they only cost about $2... and work well...

yeah u can buy adjustable plant hangers at ur hydro store which work a treat. much easier than fixing the light and raisign the plants

 

but if u must fix the light, then how high you have it will be heat dependent. the rule is generally to have it as close as possible without exceeding about 28 to 30 degrees at the plants tips.

 

for example with a cool tube you can get it alot closer than without.

 

u could easily keep a 400 @ 30cm as i find u can run 600's at 30 to 40cm
