air flow durin summer

Recommended Posts

hey there joonish

there are a few things you can do about ya temps as TT said the first thing i would do is switch ya light cycle so that they come on at night this will automaticly decrease ya temps as night is usually colder than day.

get a few fans in there decent size ones to increase airflow around ya plants.

and by a phat filter are you talking about a carbon filter or somesort of heat extraction for ya room if so this will work well

u may also wanna look into cool tubes as they pretty much take away all the heat from ya lights which will be a big help

yeah thanx people

it'll be a phat filter in the growroom to extract air and smeel

the air extracted will be through the filter located inside the room

but unsure if it'll be enough to bring in fresh air as well as keep temps down

night time will become day.....

cheers to all the people askin questions and the insightful

answers from all the knowledgable...........cheers

It'll be plenty if you get the right fan and filter combination. Always get the fan up from the one you think you need as you'll be happy to have extra capacity. Filters and ducting will drop the airflow level by 20 - 40 % in some cases so take that into consideration.

You can ensure the growroom stays at reasonable temps by venting the entire volume of the room in under 5 mins, and far better it be under 1 minute. The numbers of lights and their setup (ballasts out of growing space and well ventilated, lots of fresh air movement, perhaps even cool tubes) can have a large effect on the required ventilation system. The bottom line is you can't have too much ventilation but you can easily have too little.

What wattage of lighting do you have and what size is the room to be filtered? Also, what kind of provision for ventilation is there currently and can you describe the room a bit more? This will help to give you some more specific answers as to minimum fan speed and filter size.

Hope that helps. :scratchin:
