yeah spooks pic is more like a hermie... it has balls and all.... nugs pic is a common thing with %99 of skunk strains... not really hermie as such.. but just showing signes of male flowers...

the difference...

Spooks pic, showing clear signs of both genders.. you WOULD NOT grow the seeds from this plant... as they will be predominately hermie.. if you wished to keep the strain.. then you could grow the batch of seeds out... you need to pick a pure male and pure female... to cross for viable seeds... its a hassle but worth doing if the strain is a keeper...

nuggets pic... which is showing good signs of mostly female... just pushing a male flower here and there.. NO BALLS... just a banana leaf... these banana leaves contain mostly female hormones... this type of hermie is quite common and happens for various reasons... Heat stress.. light stress.. poor ventalation... can cause a female plant to push these banana leaves... also serial cloning, as the plant gets older it senses her age.. and tries to reproduce... more of a survival trait than a hermie trait... seeds from this type of hermie will be prodominately female from the more female hormones present with in the pollin.. these are what people call feminized seeds. as most seeds will be female.. doesnt mean you wont get a male...

One thing with a female plant that shows male flowers - if im not mistaken you can use that pollen to create feminised seeds? afterall commercial breeders of feminised seeds usually use things like silver theosulphate or stress to coax some male bananas out of a female for that reason. Soma's "Rhodelization" article was all about that Edited by NotDave
