Fertilizer?

Hey guys! I was thinkin about puttin down some slow relese fertilizer. my plants a few weeks old now. its inside in a veg box. it going fine but... just wonderin if its worth it. that would bebe awsum. Cheerz Edited August 27, 2006 by bong_bitch18

for sure, bb osmocote is a great all round slow release fert for vegging plants.. just a few balls around the base of the stalk is fine..

can i suggest getting some urea while ya there as this is a really good nitrogen booster and couls be used with ya slow realease and also i have heard good things about super thrive

Urea can easily be overdosed. Most if not all slow release ferts have a good proportion of all the essential micronutrients and macronutrients.

 

Less is definitely more when it comes to slow release ferts. They're mostly affected by temps, with less coming out of them during cold spells and releasing larger amounts as the temp rises. So take it really easy on them. You can always suppliment them with a liquid fert if you like.

 

Blood and bone is a great soil preparation additive too, helps get microbial life going and adds some nutes. Just a handful per sq/m should do it, or a tablespoon per pot sprinkled around.
