How old do my plants have to be to change the time on them???

can be any size really, but you should wait untill the plant has alternating nodes before flowering for best results

well i tried to draw a pic in here because i was too lazy to go looking for one, but the formatting got screwed, will find some pics for you though

look at the bottom branches, they are opposide nodes...

 

now if you look closely in this pic, you can see that the branches are not growing opposite any more, but rather one comes out on one side, stretches a little and then put a branch out the other side this is what an alternating node looks like...

My plant looks like the one in the last pic just like it has 3 sets of 3 leaves 2 sets of 5 and 2 of 7 its like 2 foot tall and smellsw like a skunk sprayed my closet it is 2 months old is it ready yet? . The people on this website are bad ass.Thanks for the help.

Hi fmfracerpro, You should post a pic it may help with people giving advise. 8 weeks is a long time for Veging which is the time when you have your lights on approx 18/6. Sounds like you should turn them to 12/12 (Blooming). From my little experience your plants will double in hight through the blooming stage so it all depends on the space you have.

I've attached a drawing to show you the difference.

 

When the branches start growing alternately off the main stem its a sign of sexual maturity and that the plant is ready to flower. Usually happens when plants are about a foot tall.
