Can your lights be too powerful?

I have a 400W Son-T in a 390x870 cabinet. That works out to over 100W/square foot, and I am using this for veg as well as flowering (if I can keep my plants alive)

 

As long as you keep temps under control can having this much light be counter productive?

In a word NO. as you've noted as long as the temps and humidity are under control the more light your plants are getting the better off they are

g'day; i reckon you got no probs if you can control temperature. temp will kill plants. 100 watts is great, more light the better but watch heat probs.

40C in veg is great 40C in flower means death to flowering plant(indoors).

25C is perfect day temp.

I've got the cabinets running between 24-27 with the doors open during the day and 28-32 with the doors closed at night. (need to close at night to prevent seeing light from outside the room)

 

I hope this is cool enough because its the best I can do.
