Carbonated water as C02 foliar spray?

Recommended Posts

I read that you can use carbonated water to add Co2 to your plants through foliar application of the carbonated water. Has anyone tried or is using this method of CO2 application? It sounds like a excellent way for us aussie growers as its a very cheap method without any added smells like the yeast/vinegar methods or increased heat through burning propane.

And if anyone is using the yeast/vinegar methods out there, is the smell really that bad? Cheers :smoke

Yeah I know that the beads of water can magnify the light and burn the plants -especially the new buds developing? I know it's recommended to spray when the lights just come on so the heat is minimal but I have been foliar spraying for years under HID lights without any real 'bad' effects.

I suppose if it was such a brilliant idea then there would be heaps more info on the net about it... :scratchin ! :thumbsup
