exhaust fans

Hi all

any no where I can get a small exhaust fan

about 150mm (6") for cabnet grow for mothers

You could get a small squirell fan from an electrical distributor but they can be pretty expensive (220 upto 480$) for a 6" fan with constant ballbearing run...

 

Dont know if it may suit but maybe a whirlybird even may help.. no power that way

I am using those moz, but the hydro shops say these are likely to burn out or spray oil if used continiously. they say you need to make sure your exhaust fans are rated for continious use.

 

So far my stock standard ones have been going fine, but I've only had them running for a few weeks.

Even check the trading post for factory closing down sales etc. A mate picked up 500 fluro fixtures for $2 each and a queensland room for notta...

 

just being in the right place right time

I am using those moz, but the hydro shops say these are likely to burn out or spray oil if used continiously.  they say you need to make sure your exhaust fans are rated for continious use.

 

So far my stock standard ones have been going fine, but I've only had them running for a few weeks.

they are sealed motors (disposable, no parts 2 change or fix, no leaking oil) hence so cheap.

The trick is 2 have enough air incoming or they will burn out. or 2 slow them down (a ceiling fan control inline will do) so they dont work so hard.

yeah moz I do notice that when I close the doors the fans seem to labour a bit. At the moment I've just got two passive intakes but I plan to install inlet fans and see how that works.

for $20.50 from my local hardware store

 

I plan on putting a timmer on it because it got to cold when I tested it ,also got running a 15cm desk fan on 24/7

 

I only need it going to take some heat out of cabnet
