hi os', setting up a room at the moment + wanted to run some ventilation ideas by you guys for some advice. room is approx 4m x 3m with a 2.7m ceiling. (33 cubic mtrs) exhaust will be by way of a 700 l/s (1500 cfm) centrifugal pulling through a carbon filter. i plan to vent directly into the ceiling. this leads me to my first queries: the roof is a flat-type roof. the cavity from ceiling to steel corrugated roofing is about 300mm. will ducting directly into the ceiling create excess pressure + heat in the roof cavity?? i'm guessing there is space between the roof beams for air to move + eventually find its way out of vents/gaps but not sure.... as …

This is what I use over my two 400hps. Made from two old batwings, some ducting and an inline fan, It works well and I can keep the lights around 8 inches from the crowns. The fan blows cool air over the lights, it doesn't remove hot air. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/grizzydog/ss4003.jpg And here's the splitter I rigged at the business end. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/grizzydog/ss4005.jpg Hope that maybe gives someone some ideas.

I have one of these Ozone generators in my grow room: http://www.hydroshop.com.au/Products/Stock...asp?stockNo=484 I'm in need of a replacement Ozone flouro tube for it. I'm up for about $100 just for a 6w tube if I buy from this place, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper source of the tubes?

Hi does anyone have any experience with these ? I am looking at getting 2 - they come in 2700K flowering and 14,000 ultra blue for vegging - supposed to be able to get them really close and they generate very minimal heat - could suit my grow room really well :scratchin

Hello all, I have just discoverd the greatness of growing you own I have a spare medium size bedroom and I am thinking of puchasing a 423Watt HPS Ballast with a 423W Phillips Son T Agro Agriculture grow lamp with an adjustashade reflector and lampholder (Small – not mini, not large). The Son T Agro HPS 400w has 55000 lumens so I would guess the 423 has a bit more. Was also thinking of making a big box to go around them and foiling that. I wonder could anbody tell me if that is enough light. How many could I grow under those type of lighting conditions. Or does anyone have a better idea? Im open to opinion. Any reply would be appreciated.. Nat

Would highly recommend it to anyone wanting only one ballast and want both MH and HPS lights in there veg and flore part of there grow. They are the bluest MH ive seen and give a really tight node formation. there web link:- http://www.sunmastergrowlamps.com/SunmWhatsNew.html Jack

not sure if my 400w HSP bulb is showing signs of dying out. I don't know the signs that your bulb is dying ? Obiously, if it's not working I need a new one. :thumbdown I know that the life is approximately 3000 hrs - but I have not added up the hours. I want you ask you people on Oz stoners if there are any signs such as a decrease in yield, change in coulur, dimming (lowered intensity) which would indicate that a new bulb is in order. I have not noticed a change of intensity (not that I have access to a light meter either) The colour is same to me - very orange. I can not determine when I purchased it (date unknown), but it is approximately 12 mths ag…

ive just bought a 200mm Spectrum, centrifugal fan and mountain air filter.Ive always believed that dimmers are bad for electrical motors, fans included. Is this true? My local hydro shop is selling,"fan speed controllers" that are basically black transformer looking things, similar to a mobile phone charger, with a small smooth twisting knob on the front to control fan speed, and its labelled fan speed controller, it piggy backs the power plug..Is this thing safe????? Its only $50, i want one to keep my fan a little quieter, but i dont want to burn my house down.Has anyone ever used the fan speed controller from a normal desk type fan on an exaust/centrifugal fan???? W…

Im going to experiment with dual lighting using a 1000 watt adjusta shade and two bulb sockets, one will have a 600 watt HPS and the other a 250 watt MH. I beleive this dual spectrum setup will enhance the grow somewhat. ATM Im growing 4 plants in expanded clay and recirculating drip system with bottled co2 and a mover. The last grow produced massive buds and I want to see if I can do better this time. The strain is unknown...it came from a mixed assortment of seeds from MJOZ. I'll post some pics tommorow.

Eikel has upgraded his lights. (Don't you hate people who refer to themselves in the 3rd person? ) 2 x 600w HPS-Super SunMaster Bulbs. 2 x 600w HPS-Super JBL Ballasts. These babies will be replacing the 400w warm-MH and 400w Super-HPS I currently have in my flower box. I got a bargain at the store too, he gave me the bulbs/ballasts with 2 dozen rockwool cubes and free sticky-fly traps and a syringe for nute measurement - all for $380. Sorry for the crappy pics - these were taken with my camera-phone.

Hi guys just a simple question for you re wattage - I have a light in my garage. On the bit which the bulb screws into it says 1500watts. There is no wattage written on the globe itself. I dont need or want 1500w worth of light. Q- Can i screw a 400 watt globe into this fitting without fear of shorting or any kind of crisis? Or is it best to buy a whole new fitting designed for 400w? Ta
