A GERMAN high school student today admitted baking a hashish-laced chocolate cake that briefly landed 10 of his teachers in a hospital, and police said his apology likely would spare him being charged with any offence. The 19-year-old, identified only by his first name, Ole, told reporters he had volunteered to spend 10 days working at a local hospital in the northern town of Lueneburg to show his regret over placing the cake outside the school staff room on Thursday. "I created a real mess a few days ago," Ole said after appearing before an assembly of his school's 700 students and 65 teachers. "I would like to apologise." Ten teachers were taken to a hospital aft…

Hello, I am the main administrator of www.atsipusk.lt. www.atsipusk.lt is one of two lithuanian (Lithuania is a small country near the Baltic Sea) websites about cannabis, marihuana, it's culture and employment in all spheres of life. The circumstances took an unfavourable turn, and now, inspired by corrupted news media, the law structures of Lithuania started to make repressions against us. The other webpage (www.legalus.net) has already been forced to shut down. That's why we are asking you to temporarily lend us some webspace (at least 30MB) and, by doing this, help us to survive this uneasy period. Otherwise, the stoners of Lithuania will be left without any source …

GOODS made from hemp cannot be outlawed by the US Government's narcotics agency, under a court ruling after a two-and-a-half-year legal battle. The ruling on Friday by the Ninth Circuit US Court of Appeals was hailed by a coalition of companies that make hemp-based foods including waffles, vegetarian burgers and nutrition bars. The court ruled the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) overstepped its authority by issuing a so-called zero-tolerance rule for the active ingredient in marijuana, THC, or tetrahydrocannabinols. The court ruled the DEA officials "can regulate foodstuffs containing natural THC if it is contained within marijuana, and can regulate synthetic …

THE host of a British radio gardening program apologised today for unwittingly giving a caller advice on how to grow marijuana. Frieda Morrison, who co-hosts Beechgrove Potting Shed on the BBC's Radio Scotland, said she had thought the caller was discussing cabbages. Morrison and fellow host Jim McColl spent more than three minutes explaining which compost to use and how to water the plant, which the caller referred to as Northern Lights - a very strong variety of marijuana that shares a name with a variety of cabbage. Speaking on BBC Scotland's Good Morning Scotland program today, Morrison apologised for the error. "We thought the caller had said cabbages and if …

More than half of all British adults believe sale and possession of cannabis should be decriminalised or even legalised, according to a new survey. A YouGov poll for The Daily Telegraph found 28 per cent favoured decriminalising the drug, making it a minor offence, such as parking in the wrong place, while 23 per cent wanted full legalisation. Again, more than half (52 per cent) applauded Home Secretary David Blunkett's move to downgrade cannabis from a Class B drug to Class C. Only 43 per cent believed selling or possessing the drug should remain a criminal offence. The survey found, though, that 44 per cent regard cannabis as "seriously addictive" - but 75 per c…

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1484526/2...?headlines=true Art Garfunkel can add one more herb to the pungent foursome "parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" that he and partner Paul Simon sang about in the '60s. The 62-year-old singer, one half of folk duo Simon and Garfunkel, was busted for pot, according to a New York State Police spokesperson. Garfunkel was riding alone in a limousine when a state trooper pulled the vehicle over for speeding at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday in Hurley, New York, 55 miles southwest of Albany. The officer claimed he smelled marijuana inside the car, and while searching the vehicle, the driver and Garfunkel, found a small amount of pot in th…

By Kate Holton LONDON (Reuters) - The British Medical Association (BMA) has attacked the government`s decision to downgrade the legal status of cannabis, saying that regular use of the drug can kill. Cannabis will be reclassified as a low risk, category C drug next week, making discreet possession of small amounts of it or smoking it in private a non-arrestable offence. The downgrade, while maintaining the drug as illegal, will put cannabis in the same category as anabolic steroids and growth hormones. The BMA said on Wednesday the reclassification would mislead the public into thinking the drug was safe. "Cannabis is a drug that can kill," Dr Peter Maguire, dep…

(BTW, I'm aware that most of you are aussie, I was asked to post on here by one of your compatriots, and the UK could use your help) The following story was posted on the BBC web site (and presumably regional tv). The story contains the implication that 'cannabis addiction' led a man to shoot his neighbour in a dispute. Although the story acknowledges that the police found the man in a drunken coma, this is seen as a mark on his character and not the primary driver of the incident. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/...ire/3399805.stm This is a lie. We cannot and will not allow *our* public broadcaster to promote ignorance about cannabis. If you're serious about w…

Jan. 12, 2004. 06:48 AM Pot bust biggest ever Marijuana grown in former brewery Operation had dorm for workers ROBERTA AVERY SPECIAL TO THE STAR BARRIE—Terry MacIsaac has driven past the former Molson's brewery nearly every day since it closed more than three years ago putting him out of work after 26 years on the job. But he never imagined that a huge crop of marijuana was being grown in the abandoned beer vats. He rarely glanced at the windowless, gray industrial building surrounded by two chain-link fences, topped with barbed wire and never gave a second thought to the comings and goings of delivery trucks. "Like everyone else, I'm absolutely astounded," …

THREE people have been arrested in connection with an Internet operation which offered marijuana by mail, police said overnight. Investigating officer Matt Cornish from Hertfordshire Constabulary said he believed the case was the first of its kind in Britain. The arrests followed an eight-month investigation by local police and the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit into the password-protected website. The 37-year old man and a 33-year-old woman from Wheathampstead, north of London, and a 35-year old man from Brighton in south-east England were arrested last night and were being questioned, police said. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/commo...55E1702,00.html

That is how the "Whizzinator," a prosthetic urination device for sale on the Internet, is described by its manufacturer. It was none of those things for one New Jersey man. Adam J. Aronson, 18, was arrested last week for allegedly trying to use the device to artificially ace a mandatory drug test. To comply with his probation for a juvenile offense, Aronson was on his way to the county probation office for the drug test when Cherry Hill police pull…

At approximately midnight tonight the Canadian Supreme Court will rule on the constitutionality of cannabis prohibition. Cannabis could be legal in Canada tomorrow, and we stand a very good chance of a favourable finding due to Health Canada's incompetence at handling medicinal cannabis and violating the Charter of Rights: Newshawk: CMAP ( http://www.mapinc.org/cmap ) Pubdate: Mon, 22 Dec 2003 Source: National Post (Canada) Webpage: http://www.canada.com/national/nationalpos...b9-bd8704f956c3 Copyright: 2003 Southam Inc.
