Police Commissioner Paul White is planning to target drug use in the Territory on a similar level to drink driving. Mr White said yesterday he wanted Territorians to develop the same intolerance to dope as they have for drink driving. Mr White told the Northern Territory News that he believed the Territory had a real and dangerous fascination with drugs. ``I think it's a concern for the Territory _ I said it from the day that I arrived and you hear all the excuses in the world as to why we shouldn't be putting the focus on illict drugs but the reality is the Northern Territory drug usage rate is higher than anywhere else in Australia,'' he said. The 2001 Nation…

REGULAR use of cannabis by children as young as 14 is increasing, prompting a push to highlight the negative effects of the drug. The National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) yesterday warned of the dangers to young users as the NSW government launched a statewide ad campaign to combat the problem. NDARC information manager Paul Dillon said the number of young people using the drug was growing and many wrongly perceived it as harmless. He also warned more young people were using bongs, or water pipes, instead of joints to smoke cannabis. Using bongs forced more smoke into their lungs, possibly increasing the risk of cancer. Young people were largely una…

POLICE and the Government are claiming a decisive victory in the war against drugs in the Territory. Yesterday NT Police Minister Paul Henderson told the Sunday Territorian that drug sales from two of Darwin's most notorious drug-dealing premises had all but ceased. Mr Henderson said drug sales had been severely reduced at No 1, 165 Dick Ward Drive in Coconut Grove, known as Speed Plus, and the flats at 33 Lee Point Rd in Moil. "I have just spoken to the drug squad officers and they have said that it has been vastly reduced in terms of its operations," he said. "There is still a bit of activity around them -- I would say that it has all but ceased." Mr Hende…

Has any one around here tried it? It sounds like the strain to grow for a late starter like me. High yeild, little hazzle, good crop. But as I have been told clones are the way to go. As I'm a relativlely new I don't want to risk my money on un-proven seed stock. (And time and face) So I would really appreciate any feed back. Also other buzz breeds like Haze, Hash and G-13 look worth the effort. Is it possible to mix these species in a single sea of green?

Drug house squad shut down By EDITH BEVIN December 17, 2002 A police operation set up to target drug houses has been abandoned, the Northern Territory News learned last night. Assistant Commissioner John Daulby said Operation Firefox had been shut down. It was set up on August 14 and used members of the drug squad to target known drug houses following the introduction of the Government's tough new anti-drug laws. But Mr Daulby insisted the end of Firefox did not mean police had given up on drug houses. "It's been a significant operation, but it has run its course," he said. "But we will continue to target drug houses." Mr Daulby said education packs on …

If Steve Treleaven had a dollar for every time a fellow inmate had told him that there was no way he could have received a 20-year sentence just for growing some pot on his land, he would be a rich man. And if he had another dollar for every time that he had been told he would never end up doing the whole sentence, he could be running for governor. Instead, he is sitting alone in the visiting room of the shiny, new U.S. penitentiary in Atwater, about 300 miles north of where he spent a carefree childhood in Van Nuys and a few million light-years away from the life he had now hoped to be living. In his letters out, he describes himself as POW number 08656—023. Like tens…

SOURCE: The Carins Post. Mena Creek is a nice green spot, plenty of rainfalls, and lots of tropical forest with similar green colour as marijuana for great hiding in the rainforest. As I used to live up Innisfail for almost 8-9 months working on banana plantations before settled in SE QLD. Urbanhog

Owner protests as cops brand first drug house By EDITH BEVIN December 13, 2002 The owner of the Territory's first drug house said last night she was being punished even though she had not committed a crime. Dianne Burnett, 37, said she was being made to pay for the actions of her drug-dealing tenants. "I've done nothing wrong," she told the Northern Territory News. Iridescent green notices were put up on all entrances at 20 Spencer St at Alice Springs yesterday. The signs were erected by Superintendent Colleen Gwynne and Acting Senior Sergeant Dave Proctor of Alice Springs police. The declaration followed a court order and the issuing of three warnings by …

In the preview to the news last night there was a story about a "multi million dollar" grow bust. There was footage of police loading plants in a helicopter. I passed out before the story actually came on Does anyone know more details of what I'm talking about?

So we all have our personal favs but what is the best strain? The things to consider are: What do we have to do to get the results we all want? The array of strains available to the new user is staggering. What's even more confusing is that you'd be lucky to find two growers that agree on any one particular strain to buy, grow and then (if your lucky) clone. So what does a new grower do? If he or she is lucky to know some-one experienced then they can save years of fiddling and failures (Through little or no fault of their own). How? A clone. Just one. *(Any clone will do as long as it's from a healthy strong strain) Then it get's a bit technical. But this still leads us…

I was looking up news at the Newstext.com.au website, where I use often for my correspondce studies, and I was looking up some news from my old "homeland" (excuse me guys, I'ven't got second "head" :: I grew up in Tassie, but wasn't born there ) There's 3 stories (all connected with day by day news from the court) about a lady from Bruny Island, she got busted with $54,000 worth of pot and walked away free with suspended jail term..... (lucky bitch) I knew these Oldies, one of their sons went to my old school, we were couple of years apart. They were doing a good business I heard as a lot of their "customers" respected them for some odd reasons, maybe it's the…
