Posted June 2, 2010 08:33:00 http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/06...mp;section=news © 2010 ABC Two South Australian men are facing drugs charges after Horsham traffic police pulled them over at the weekend. Police say the men in their 40s were driving a rental car when police stopped them on Dooen Road on Sunday. A search of the car found 40 cannabis cuttings police believe were going to be grafted onto other plants in Victoria. An interesting twist to guerilla growing, has anyone ever tried grafting cannabis to another plant? -KF

NOT even false doors on secret rooms could hide a hydroponic drugs set-up from Imbil Police. Armed with a tip-off and the help of Gympie intelligence officers, Imbil's Sergeant Terry Kennedy and Senior Constable Bill Greer headed to a McIntosh Creek Road property early yesterday morning. What they found, about 7am, was a shed which had been modified to conceal more than a quarter of a millon dollars worth of drugs. On entering the structure, the officers used the information they gathered and soon realised there were two hidden rooms each about five by five metres square. Bales of hay were positioned to conceal both rooms but, upon further investigation, police fo…

California, the word itself, means "paradise", and it has this November a very good chance of becoming very true. They are voting to legalise weed, and a previous poll, to show interest in such a thing, had a 53% "legalise it" result. if that keeps up, California will be a paradise, and to quote led zeppelin "I'm going to california with an aching in my heart!" If California comes to the right side, soon other states and countries are bound to follow, in what i call the positive domino effect, hopefully to hit australia in several years. California, we're counting on you! TGD

Watch out the maniacal UN hatchet firm of the UNODC (Office of Drugs and Crime) are about to release the 2009 world drug report ….. But hang on – some of it is a back step from their past rantings about they must be punished…. http://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/press/releas...-and-crime.html (one little gem on cannabis) Cannabis remains the most widely cultivated and used drug around the world, although estimates are less precise. Data also show that it is more harmful than commonly believed. The average THC content (the harmful component) of hydroponic marijuana in North America almost doubled in the past decade. This has major health implications as evidenced by a sign…

By JESSE McKINLEY Published: May 28, 2010 http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/29/us/29pot.html OAKLAND, Calif. — Jimmy Hoffa would be stoked. Related Times Topic: Marijuana and Medical Marijuana In what cannabis fans were calling a high-water mark for their movement to legitimize the drug, about 100 employees of medical marijuana businesses in Oakland were welcomed to the ranks of unionized workers on Friday after voting to join the United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 5. The move — which union officials said was the first time medical marijuana employees had been so represented — was hailed by the local’s leadership, who called their new members “great workers.” …

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...oryId=126806429 For decades, illegal marijuana cultivation has been an economic lifeblood for three counties in northern California known as the Emerald Triangle. The war on drugs and frequent raids by federal drug agents have helped support the local economy — keeping prices for street sales of pot high and keeping profits rich. But high times are changing. Legal pot, under the guise of the California's medical marijuana laws, has spurred a rush of new competition. As a result, the wholesale price of pot grown in these areas is plunging. Demand Not Meeting Supply In 1983, the Reagan administration launched a massive …
