As I water by hand -- and so far so good, although sometimes I have wilting - I was wondering if there was guideline like for eg. 1 litre per 1 metre of plant in flower every 24 hr? I'm still experimenting 4 weeks into flower - most of my 5 plants are around 150cm - 200cm and i sometimes give them about 3 litres each every 48 hrs or about 1 litre evry 24 hrs? They are in like 15''/15" deep/diameter pots in coco medium. Temp is 22c-24c. I was wondering if there was like a rule of thumb for how much and how frequent to hand water without under or over watering?

For the experts: I accidentally broke the ends of 4 branches while moving them around. They are 4"-6" in length with 4 week old buds -- but fairly small without any coating of resin because they are from the bottom of the plants. I dipped the stalk ends in indole butyric acid - root strike and stuck them in little pots of coco coir in the 2x400w 12/12 light cycle grow room- 3 days ago. My questions are: should I have just dried them out to smoke? Or will they grow into separate plants and produce maturer buds under the present conditions ?or is the light to strong and do I need to put them back in a humid cupboard with a fluro back on the 18/6 cycle for a few weeks? …

Germinated 10 seeds, they sprouted and they are 7 - 10 days old, depending on the ones that sprouted first etc. It has been a loooong time since I done this so I dont remember shitall. Some of them look wilted and a couple of them have yelowing and dying of the first serated leaves, some of the very first rounded leaves are purplish, not many though. I dunno they just overall don't look that healthy to me. What do you think is causing the ends of the leaves to yellow and die? They are growing in rockwool cubes, the water was Ph adjusted before puttin em in. I haven't fed them any nutes yet cause I was told to leave it for the first couple of weeks. They are under 3…

Thanks to the help I've had from some of you guys and this forum I was able to save five poor seedlings, and not only that almost 10 weeks later some are almost 6 ft tall! Fistly when I planted them I had no idea what I was doing as my mate whose suggestion it was suddenl moved interstate. I had planted 8 seeds in perlite in little pots under a 400 w hps, (about 30 cm above) which would have cooked them apparently. But thanks to help from guys like labrat and animal after 2 days I took them out before sprouting. I left the seeds on a ledge in the bathroom and over 24 hrs later noticed they were starting to germinate -- that was on a Sunday morning. So, in a panic f…

Grew once before, too damn long ago to remember (4 years is too long as far as my memory is concerned) Using Coconut Coir for medium in 14 inch pots. 1 x 600W HPS for Veg then adding 1 x 600W Clear Hallide (blue spec) during flowering. Reservoir with pump and airstones. Exhaust fans, one out, one in. 18/6 during Veg 12/12 during flowering, increasing to 14/10 4 weeks into flowering. Need advice on the following... I'm growing from seed, do I feed the seedlings nutes whilst under the fluro for the first 2-3 weeks? How long should I have them Veg before I start the flowering cycle? How many times a day should I water them and for how long at a time? Do I need …

hey guys, i just recently put out a bunch of lowryders outdoors in this seedling raising mix, the only bad thing is that it contains the dreaded words- slow release fertiliser on it. will this be a problem for the taste of the buds when i harvest, as at the moment the only potting mix i can access has slow release fertiliser- brunnings premium coco coir or something? the thing is that lowryder is ready in like 9 weeks so im worried that the fertiliser taste might filter into the buds and im not too keen on smoking chemcals...any advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers.

Electronic digital pH and conductivity testers, now widely used for hydroponics, are designed to provide accurate testing and control of pH (the measure and acidity and alkalinity), and of the concentration of the nutrient solution in your hydroponic system. Pen-type testers have been available for several years and are used where pH and conductivity accuracy is not critical. More accurate instruments are usually considerably more expensive. The two major manufacturers of pen-type testers are Hanna Instruments and Eutech Cybernetics. The latest technology from Hanna has brought the phepl, pHep2 and pHep3 test pens onto the market ( the pHep3 model offers push-button calib…

I'm wondering if I can do away with the clay/verm/perl mix I have in the trays underneath these tubes - the roots can grow straight out of the bottom of the tubes and could sit in a layer of nutes .. instead of growing down into the base tray medium? If I put a 'skirt' around the base of the tubes to stop lite gettin to the roots and changed the nutes in the base tray regularly, would this likely give better growth than the current setup? :scratchin - If that'd work I can just transplant into a tube of clay balls sittining over the tray of nutes. Or would it be better to fill the base tray with clayballs instead of just nutes? I am about to transplant some clonez so…

Hi all can't remember who posted the link to this stuff (sorry but thanks) I went there and decided to buy some for me ... ended up experimenting with ma babies too - http://www.sportsoxyshot.com/index.php I have added about 5mls to my 500ml plant mister and I started giving it to my clonez thru the leaves and also added about the same amount to the water they have been standing in, in the trays - started misting the older plants with it also, every couple of days. anyone got any thoughts on whether it would be of any benefit adding some to the nute rez? I'm not sure if the other rez contents will cancel out or prevent the o2 from havig a beneficial effect in the…

Hey all was surfing the net and came across this product http://www.nomercy.nl/en/framesets/fs-prod-co2tab.html it states that it can use a tablet to deliver co2 via the roots. If these work it will make co2 available to everyone not just commerical growers. The cost saving could be huge, no AC/computers/regulators or gas bottles required. Was allways of the theory that plants could not uptake co2 via roots only the leaves - look like i could be wrong. Jack

I will be hand watering/feeding them and I have read that sand/perlite is a really good medium? Any thoughts would be appreciated
