Just a quick one, three or so weeks to go, starting to keel over! Figure its a deficiency during veg possibly. Using Powerfeed and potash during veg, Powerfeed, superbloom and potash during flower. Lack of silica perhaps? Any ideas?

Hey blades, after a ton of research and weighing up pros / cons of coco nutes, I'm still overwhelmed with the sheer amount of info / bullshit info out there and can't decide on a decent nute line that isn't ridiculously expensive. I've looked at standard lines like canna, CNS, etc. but they all seem to be so unnecessarily expensive (especially due to where I live). I've looked at cheaper powder nutes like dyna gro and jacks classic citrus feed but again, being in australia means somewhat limited options and I can't warrant paying more for postage than the product itself (may aswell go with the super expensive canna then). I've found a brand of fertiliser at a local sho…

Hey, I can't find anything online that resembles this yellowing, does this look like some kind of deficiency? It looks similar to something I've seen on common house plants before..

Using Oxygen When Growing . OG Kush Seeds. http://sour-diesel-seeds.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Growing-Medium-For-Sour-Diesel-Seeds.png . Oxygen supply to the roots is a major big concern that is often overlooked by many growers of OG Kush Seeds. The presence of oxygen within the growing medium is required, together with all the necessary nutrients being made available. One of the easiest ways to add oxygen to your plants roots is to use a food grade hydrogen peroxide in the water, this will increase the availability to your plants of the necessary oxygen within the water. Hydrogen Peroxide, or H3O2 contains an extra Oxygen atom that can easily be broken down and the…

well basically after the exceptional results i have had with my organic aquaponics producing terrific flavours i thought i might like to experiment with a few different organic soil and soiless mixes. basically there are tons of great organic mixes getting around on the forums but trying to find ingredients or whatever over here can be tough so im going to attempt to create something using mostly ingredients from bunnings or local nurseries. im going to attempt a coco based soiless mix loaded with natural composts and worm castings etc and similarly a traditional soil based potting mix with lots of organic ammendments. stay tuned. any advice from anyone who has gone…

hey hey ive just completed a test of house&garden roots excelurator against canna rhizotonic was sceptical as i always use canna rhizo and house&garden excelurator was only in a small metal 250ml bottle and its worth a hundred bucks. as i was told by h&g the concentration factor has to be taken into account 0.3 ml per liter compared to 4 ml per liter 4 the rhizo h&g works out 2 over 900 liters of feed water per 250ml. h&g told me that it would cure root rot 100% and i should get a quicker growth period also. i have run 3 plants on h&g and 3 on canna the test amazed me im never using rhizo again ive just turned back after 4 weeks of grow my normal…

So, I'm sure most of us have had this discussion in some shape or form with someone at some point... But I just want to come back, and revisit the topic. The last one was made in 2009, and didn't yield many valuable opinions (no pun intended) . Moreover, Canna have change their formula since. http://www.canna.com.au/cannaboost So ever since I started growing in 2007, I have used CannaBoost, I have always used Canna a&b, veg and flower, plus their additives. Its hard for me to make a fair assessment, having always used CannaBoost, however despite this, I have always had good yields, quality heads and tasty buds. Before we write this product off, I just want to…

It has become apparent from reading all the advice in the forum that I need a TDS / EC meter. I've done a bit of looking and I can get a cheap one from Hong Kong for about $35 - would this do the trick or too cheap and nasty? I note that the hydro store where I usually purchase stuff from has meters that are $70 to $130 although I'd like not to spend that much if I can avoid it. Things have changed a lot since I used to grow in the 90s - I didn't even know to check ph then let alone EC and TDS!
