Hey all. New to here. Wondering how long this bad boy has to go. Seems pretty close. Only concern is that some of the bud seems to be rotting/turning brown/dying... not sure if that is "just part of how things go" or not ? It is about 5months old at the moment... Outdoor plant, little fertiliser... I guess next questions would be - steps to go about curing/harvesting.. but shall read up on that and I suppose take it one step at a time...

Hardening-off The cuttings usually develop a good root system and will be ready to transplant in three to six weeks. At this time the hardening-off process begins, preparing the delicate cuttings for a life in bright sunshine. The cuttings are removed and transplanted to a sheltered spot such as a greenhouse until they begin to grow on their own. It is necessary to water them with a dilute nutrient solution or feed with finished compost as soon as the hardening-off process begins. Young roots are very tender and great care is necessary to avoid damage. When vegetative cuttings are placed outside under the prevailing photoperiod they will react accordingly. If it is not …

After a break of 20 years I decided it was time to grow my own this season so I bought some Barney's Farm seeds from Attitude. I was a bit worried when the seeds arrived as they were very small but I put them into jiffy pots late in October and eventually they sprouted. (error no. 1, I tried to sprout them outdoors rather than in a warm spot indoors) The grow was always going to be outdoors which presented me with a couple of problems: I built in a new estate a couple of years ago and naturally when I moved in there was no good soil on the block whatsoever. Happily they needed to use a lot of fill on the block; so instead of having subsoil to contend with I had a very…

Hey stoners, Well spring is finally here - sort of & its time to up-pot & move my little ones out into the bush. After previous outdoor experiences here which were worse than pitiful thanks to the crap acidic soil around here (around 5PH in most spots), i decided to try growing in pots. Initally i had thought of growing in regular 30L pots, cut their bottoms off & place the pot on the ground on a shallow bed of potting mix so the roots could have room to expand. However the pots were just too expensive at on average around $10 ea plus the effort of cutting the bottoms off or drilling holes in the bottoms. Then i saw the Vegie bag on 1 of the gardening shows …

Hi all, great to see this Aussie community. Well my Q I had today was about the new season. I been only growing out doors for few year. Have mainly been a Indoor man. Last two seasons I have used Thai Fantasy as my out door, early finisher mostly sativa. I have been looking at Arjan Ultra haze 1#, looks like a nice girl. Has anyone ever try her before, or has anyone got recommendation of a nice full sativa girl that is good for Nrth River to Brisvages Area. Peace

Hi everyone, im a amateur grower from Vic and i need some advice on outdoor nutrients for soil. I'm interested in growing organic but can't seem to sort out the nutrients for veg and flowering. I read Fish emulsion, Kelp, Worm castings and Guano's seem to be the way to go. Is there any recommended products that anyone has had success with? I have also heard about some stuff called ORMUS or ORMES (Orbitally Rearranged Monoatomic Elements). Ive read that it is some good shit for humans and plants, but don't know if it would be good for Cannabis. If anyone has some info on ormus and cannabis plants please let me know. You can find more info on ORMUS here www subtleenerg…

Ok, You guys are awesome and have had some great help. I've dried it all for 7 days, it feels crispy. Now it's in a plastic air tight container. I am a bit worried its too dry. I have heard curing mentioned. Does this help me at this stage. I need to get this right and be able to store enough to last 12 months. Any ideas.

Here's a couple of shots of my little plant I managed to get away with. Sadly it stank sooo badly like a dead animal I had to pull her early. The bloody smell had Mrs Mungas having to close the house up and leave the air con off. A couple of more weeks would've been great but after losing all my smoke to thieves last year I was determined to get some choice smoke for this year.

Hey everyone, This coming season i have the change to grow some 20 year old seeds from when a family friend used to grow, he has kept them in a box so hopefully they are still viable? I was wondering if it would be worth cloning if they germinate and grow well, might be able to get some seeds from them and have some old genetics they are Skunk and Northern Lights mainly. What are the chances of them still being viable after 20 years in a box?? Also do you think the clones will last over winter if left in a greenhouse if i can't get seeds from them?? Cheers!

Hi all, first post here. I'm glad to be a new member of this community. Have no idea why I haven't joined this earlier. Peace! Well time to get straight into it. A plant was planted in February and has recently just started to flower at the top. Just. Will it still continue to flower during winter? Will the plant retain itself and last the cold days and possible occasional frosts? The plant grows without tree protection or shade. Completely out in the open, with only one other plant by its side. So in a situation like this, would there be any negative impact on the plants health, life etc? Does it require a different spot? The climate it lives in tends to be ver…

There's no collective post this year for grow updates? Hey guys, No monstrosity in the back garden this year to get all worked up about, so I'm really pleased with my two I've got happening this year. Northern Lights the both of them...one normal and one thats a bit stumpy. Appear to be in good health and are flowering well. Very smelly though, moreso evident on a still evening after a hot day. Ready to go I'm thinking very shortly and I cant wait to sample after reading up on their effects etc. Everyone seems to be smashing it again this year, well done! Cheers!
