I just had a rather successfull first attempt in growing some weed. Now I noticed a few things and need clarification. I started a few plants in about September last year and all grew about 6ft tall, so I was quite pleased with the results. I knew I made a few mistakes like using too small pots (yeah I know, the next lot goes into the ground). Two of the plants were girls and I got about 2 ounces of goodies from both of them. For a first attempt, not bad I guess. As soon as I knoew the sexes of the plants, I started to clone the females and 4 of my 5 clones actually survived my "cut, dip in rooting hormones and straight in the dirt"-approach, which is a bit surprising…

I am a complete knob when it comes to growing. I was born with two brown thumbs (everything I touch dies) but had some unexpected success with some outdoor plants. I really got into it but now, thanks to autumn, my efforts are coming to a grinding halt. What am I going to do for the next 6 months? Keep growing I hope Considering outdoors is a no-no atm, I am considering some indoor activities. But I don't want to spend a fortune on setting up a grow room or buy elaborate lighting setups just to spend the money I save on buying weed on equipment and electricity. I want to keep it as simple as possible, utilise natural light and supplement it with artificial light in the…

I used to grow using Tick's Organic Soil Mix at Overgrow, and even won Overgrow picture of the week or month or whatever once with it!! Oh that was a beautiful plant, rock hard buds too.. Mmmm Ok so, I need this mix recipe again! Did anyone save it perhaps, or can find a link that works, or something? Hell, maybe someone remembers! I remember it had in it: - A bale of Promix BX soil - Worm castings - Bone Meal - Blood Meal Don't remember quantities, or if there were more things, or any additional instructions. I just remember I used to water my plants with water, and that was that. Hope I score here Socks

I thought I would suppliment my last post with some pics of the setup. The plants were germinated on Jan 4. The section on the left of the first photo shows the vegetative chamber with LED + CFL, The right shows the main HPS flowering section. Vegetative clones are 4 weeks old - that is the clones rooted 4 weeks ago. Current clone size is 12 inches. Flowering plants have been flowering for just 4 weeks and almost done. Comments, questions welcome! http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/997/55648746lj3.jpg http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2232/53087238bk6.jpg http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/1256/66991269yx4.jpg

Hi everyone, I haven't seen any threads in my travels in regard to posting clones and I was wondering how you do it? Just wrapped in glad wrap with the cube cut thin? How long can a clone survive in the mail typically? Say from England? Jimbo

i have two females in 2nd week of 1212 now i have broke a main branch yesterday and was just wondering what the chances are of my plant being a hermaphadite. also the plant is very tall now and i may have to tie it down in a week or two so it dose not get to close to the hps i talked to my friend about this and he told me not to tie the plant down during 12/12 or it could cause too much stress and possibley turn into a hermaphadite not shure what to do about how tall my plant is just want to know if anyone ties theres down during the 12/12 or if any one has any better ideas for me thanks for all of your help .

Howdy, Iv been reading a decent amount about differnt soils from round the world, and most the conculutions of gotten too, is that Foxfarm is a great organic soil. Thats all good but i havent been able to source any from anywhere. I know its a Dutch company that makes it all, and am wondering if it is avalaible in OZ or dont they export for retail here? And if not, what would be the chances of importing a dew bags of soil? would customs deny it entry because of its organic matter or dont they care? On another note, can any soil users give any recipes for a good organic WELL draining soil mix that can be bought from normal stores like bunnings or some place like t…

well i want to grow marijuana but im a little confused . so ill say what i wanted to do and the questions i have. i was planning on just getting one seed and growing only one plant in my house, i live in australia in melbourne. ok my questions are firstly i would like to know where you get marijuana seeds? because that would help alot (dont think you can grow anything without seeds ) second is it worth the risk of only growing one plant? because if its a male i wasted my time also is there a way to garentee the plant to be a female? and my last question is there a way to speed up the growth so i could harvest it fairly early i guess the earlier the better but i still …

i want to be able to reduce the size of my pictures down to 100kb or so AND when i post them in a thread keep them big (not thumbnail size) the only way i know to do this is to upload them into 'my albums' and then 'insert image' into the thread..but sometimes this doesnt work!..hehe..also i cant remove pics from 'my album' i understand this is so we dont get dead links....that makes sense. . I'm not very computer savvy ...i only learned how to upload pictures from a digicam onto my computer and then onto OZ Stoners when i joined this community. i have read nuggests thread on picture resizing which is great but it doesnt have info on reducing the kilobyte size of…

I know it's a long shot but has anyone ever used Humboldt Countys Own, Gravity? It's supposed to be a flower hardener. From what I could find on search, the stuff works but is too strong, and it adds alot of weight supposedly makes an ounce look like a half. All they admit to on the label is kelp and B1 listed under non plant food ingredients (?) I'm going to keep looking because I really want to know what's in this stuff. Another product they make, Bushmaster slows vertical growth, but it does it with "anti hormones" wassat? Well anything will help. I want to give the stuff a try, but not knowing what's in it creeps me a little.

As I am new to perlite could some one please help me with an optimal watering schedule. How often should I turn my pumps on? What hours Day/Night/Both? It would also be good to have the schedule cover cloning, vegging and flowering periods. If it helps I am using 15 litre pots. TIA
