so i guess this may sound quite silly, but id like some feedback on exactly HOW silly a friend and i want to get seeds, we are both in situations where we dont want to have it sent to our addresses and the idea of throwing a 'false' letterbox up on a nearby street has come up, seems likely a good idea, but does this sound preposterous to anyone here ? are we breaking some full on laws that anyone knows of ? is it worse to put up a fake letterbox, than to receive seeds in the first place ? has anyone tried this before ? we are thinking a unit complex or something similar want to avoid, po-boxes, having it mailed directly to us and dont know anyone else who we could …

LED Lights

Hi guys , I'm just wondering if anyone has used LED lighting for their grow, and if so, how it went. I've seen a light which the manufacturers say is equivalent to 400-600wats, but which puts out only a small amount of heat, and costs 50-80% less to run then the HPS or MH lights. It sounds good, but I haven't really heard much about their advantages in terms of flowering and yield. So if anyone can en'lighten' me , I'd be grateful. Peace to everyone

Oh hai all. Apologies if this has already come up. I understand most timers dont allow this but has any experimentation been done with non 24 hour grow cycles. Anybody with personal experience or know of documentation of such an experiment on the www MaccaSpesh, the best weed you'll never smoke.

So i just read a thread before which involved a vertical scrog, thinking to myself "there's no point having the light above, you would need it on the side of the plant". Well it got me thinking and this is what sprang to mind, since i am useless with microsoft paint i am going to try and explain, though i'm not much better at the latter either. here's the plan... this is for one plant but can be applied to up to 4 plants i would say, possibly more for larger wattage lights. you would need a lazy susan, remember those spinning plates at home a small sized motor that could run off 5v or so. simple idea really, you would sit the pot on top of the lazy susan. You would…

hi all I came across this on WikiPedia: "In 1943, Johannes "The Moobze" van Overbeek discovered that coconut milk actively encourages plant growth. This was later discovered to be due to a number of factors, but predominantly the existence in the milk of a cytokinin known as zeatin.[4] The addition of 10% coconut milk to the substrate in which wheat is grown has shown substantial improvements in yield." I could not find much else on the web about adding coconut milk to your plants, except the fact that 10% - 15% milk (not the cream) should be used. Has anyone tried this?

Heya's Just wondering with tap water so full of chlorine, what should I be watering my plants? Is there an easy way to disperse the chlorine? Rain water is apparently the best but its not really an option. Filtered water any good? Cheers.

Hi guys, has anyone here ever encounted plants with flat stems about 1/2" wide. A plant I grew outside years ago, had a flat stem on the very top of the plant, the head it produced was about 1ft long and curled , like a fern tree branch, you know the ones that are all curled up then uncurl out into branches. I seem to have another one, the plant is quite the mutant (in a good way) strange leafs, one leaf about the size of your hand, has a complete small leaf on a stem on the big leaf. This plant was turned to 12/12 a week ago, and now the top leaves seem stunned. This plant also branched itself into 2 top stems, only one of them is flat. Does anyone know what causes…

I may be able to get some seeds, but they are pretty old (3-4 years) and likely to be difficult to germinate. One essential at the moment (given it's winter) is an incubator of some kind that will maintain a constant temperature of around 27-30c. It would also be very nice if there was a heating element that the jiffy pots could sit on. Can anyone recommend something reasonably priced that would do the job? Thanks for any advice John

Hello Fellow Farmers,, Im in the 3rd week of veg from seeds and have been using the bio buzz range of ferts fro about 2 weeks now i have just repoted from 4 inch to larger pots about 2 days ago and was wondering if i should be considering flushing the plants with just plain water and if so how ??? ,, my understanding of flushing in soil is to drench the soil with at least 3-4 times the volume of water as to soil ie 1 liter pot to be flushed with 4 liter of water and left to drain for about 5 - 10 mins to remove any harmfull buildups then back to the ferts again ,, ,, or do you water then with plain water for a few days then back to the ferts ????? or should i not both…
