Does anyone know anything about mixing daylight with HPS light in a veg stage? example putting your plants outside to give them 6 hours day light (during the middle of the day) + 12 hours of HPS light possible benefits would be a reducing the time you need to power a light while maximizing your growth, i really don't know what im talking about its just an idea id like some feedback on. Ok i am a real newbie when it comes to growing cannabis or indeed growing anything for that matter. I found some seeds in my cupboard presumably left over from my sisters previous attempts in growing (last summer and summer before) so reasonably old. I was unsure if they would work so decided to try anyway. I put them into a glass half full of water and let them float around. Its now up to day three and only one has sprouted. There were two small seeds and one bigger seed, only the bigger one has cracked. How long does it usually take for them to start to crack? Are the other two not going to sprout at all if they havnt cracked by now (3days)?

hey guys im New to the growing indoors thing and i was just wondering if i could get some tips for my first grow It started life as a seedling in my closet,growing under a 600w hps light with no fresh air and temps were up around 90+ the light was inconsistant due to having to turn it of wen we had visitors,witch also only allowed me to have it on 12/12 it was like this for the first month and a bit i have since learned a few things ,i think . -I have moved it to a place that has fresh air circulated with a fan temps are down to about 78-85 with light on -still using the 600w hps light at about 9 inches above the plant -water wenever the soil looks a lil dry,try not to …

my grow room is 1m(w) x 1m (d) x 1.6M(h) i have a wilma 4pot flood and drain a rvk 150mm inline fan with carbon filter and a 600w hps in a coolshade but its still goes up to 35degrees celcius in here any useful hints

I have read two different ways of determining nutrient strength using a Truncheon or any meter and I want to know which one is correct. Most nutrient labels say that the nutrient strength shown is in addition to the water ppm. In other words, my water is 210 ppm if I want a ppm of 1200, do I mix it to that and add to the water. That would give me 1410 ppm or do I mix nutes to 1000, that would give me 1210 ppm. I read an article that said to deduct 50% of the water reading from the total ppm reading. In other words, if I mixed to 1200 and deducted 50% water reading, I would have 1095 ppm. I find this confusing as I am using low strength nutes (1/4 strength) on my 50…

just showing the size of 1 my clones. and wanted to ask wether i need to re pot them yet as the roots are showing out the bottom of the pot

hay everyone have a few clones in coco that have had a few problems overfed , p/h problem and root bound i have transplanted them from there 1/2L pots to 200mm pots with some perlight in the bottom than i flushed them with half strenght nutes to settle them in (small pots were flushed prior to transplant) i guess what i would like to know is how often do u feed your plants? do u feed one day than water the next? or do u just use nutes all the time? how often do u flush? how much water/nutes per serve? eg 1lt 5lt or mabe 500ml pot size? thanks stinky

First off I hope this is the right forum, I looked around but couldn't figure out where it was supposed to go. I bought two sets of seeds about 9 months ago but I wasn't able to get a grow happening for various reasons. But now i can and I want to use my seeds. (btw skunk #1 25/75% sativa, and skunk #1 25/75% indica) What I want to know is how long should they have survived for? They have been kept in a dark dry place the entire time. Or will I have to buy get new ones? Thanks everyone

Hello everyone ....I am just about to harvest two big sativas that I have had in my grow room for the last 16 weeks, the problem is that I want to take the buds off the plant and try to reveg it and stick it outside for this years outdoor season.....the genetics are fantastic and I want to save this strain Is this possible????.....how much should I trim off the plant?....should I leave some of the smaller fluffier buds on the plant??? any help would be much appreciated

Hay i need a bit of help Im using an eb n flow system with just dutch master 2 part mix, medium is those round terracota looking balls. Wanting to no how offten i shud flush em. I got one cuboard thats flowerin and one veg. Any help muchly appreciated. Also any reccomendations for additives i shud be useing(mainly flowering), the local hydro man is preety slak at explaining that sort of stuff

it gets a bit dry where i am sometimes the humidity has been getting as low as 28% though sits at about 48% most of the day/night my plants look a little dry when the humidity drops do you guys spray or do somethimg else? thanks for any help
