Couple of questions.Im not sure how much water to put in a dwc bucket. Is it about half inch past the bottom of the net pot? Also if using perlite as medium should it be watered from the top aswell if the perlite dries out a bit. Also if someone used thrive fert for outdoor plants in their dwc bucket is that ok untill they got some proper nutrient? And how often does the nutrient have to be added?I know water should be replaced every 2 weeks but not sure on if thats the only time to add nutrient.

Dear 420 world, Everything was going along so well 6 weeks into flowering 12 /12 and all of a sudden the wheels fell off. As you may see from the pictures I seem to have lost the great majority of my leaves ? They just started to dry up and go all bad, apart from a couple of bigger ones up higher as you can see ? My technique stayed the same and potash was added for the flowers etc, same watering as usual, then super dry ? As this is my first grow experience what do I do, the heads look good to my untrained eye but no leaves. I tried to get a magnifying glass 40x 80 to check the trips but the dam cheep thing died and I can't get a replacement for 10 days (blo…

Hey guys just wondering what your tap water phs are. I think i might have faulty ph meter. It says tap water ph is 5.0 while bottled water ph is 6.0? On the other hand i have another ph meter which gives off tap water as 6.9 and bottled water as 7.3-7.5 Also im abit paranoid. Any chance they might be able to track you by tap water ph? Thanks

Hi guys, Just wanted to ask about Killerney peat moss by Amgrow, I am currently using it mixed with perlite and vermiculite for seedlings and early veg. I have recently read though that this particular medium is quite acidic? My plants have been having a few problems with discoloration of leaves (a dark brown / rust colour) on some. Wondering if this could have to do with the acidic nature of the soil? I dont have a ph tester kit atm but will endeavor to get one, just wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this. Regards, UC

heyas just curious is pollinating a plant that came from femininized seeds would the chance of hermies be in the gene pool even though the plant was stressed to become a hermie that produced the fem seed pollen? if so would it be a low % of hermies or? cheers =)

So, it's been 7 days since i took a few cuttings from a mates white widow. From what i've read on this site i got to them a little late, as they had already started to flower pretty heavily, but figured i'd have a crack, with nothing really to lose. Me and the mate tried to follow most of the instructions i'd seen here - used a nice new stanley, distilled water, some clonex, and then put them into some seed-raising potting mix (didn't get rockwool this time). Was a little concerned when the leaves started to go brown, however read somewhere here that that was a good sign. Problem is there is 3 in the pot, and if they do sprout roots i don't want them all becoming ta…

A lot of people have trouble with clones in rockwool until they have done a few batches. I sure did. My first attempts suffered from stem rot and slow rooting. Here's a photoessay on a batch of clones as they are done around here now that I've had a bit of practise getting consistent results. One of the biggest problems with rockwool cubes is that they can hold a LOT of water. If cubes are too wet, rooting will be slow or stem rot may set in. Think damp, never wet or saturated. A dry 40mm cube weighs 5g. A properly "damp" cube weighs 25-30g. Heavier than that is too wet. Remove water from overwet cubes by shaking excess out into a bucket with a snap of the wrist. A sala…
