General Cultivation Q&A

I had some seeds sent from the Attitude Seed Bank in the UK, which claims to be the largest Cannabis seeds superstore in the world, and that their seeds are fresh and tested. None of the seeds they sent me (including promotional seed freebies) germinated properly. I had them between wet paper towelling for over a week at temperatures above 21°C. Is it possible that customs or Australia Post zaps all incoming parcels with X-Rays or some other seed killing mechanism, when they see a suspicious package without a return address? Has anybody else had similar problems?

hey everyone iv got a couple questions for the people that are growing inside and that are living with it inside the house well i used to do that years back but until baby came along wich meant i had to purchurse a shed and put all my hydro gear in there and that were i have been growing until now i have moved and have a spare room im just wondering if i started growing in there would there be any health issues to me or my boy/ im just a bit worried and would probley have to make a good case to the mrs stix so any help would be great.

what are your exepriences with femenized seeds?

Been thinking of odering some fem seeds.. Looked into it a bit and looks like MOST varieties are more likely to go herm or male than regular seeds.. However, it appears that Dutch Passions Mazaar strain is fairly stable, with a few people saying they have had up to 100% sucess.. Can we get a list going of stable Femanized seeds? cheers

Hey last couple of days the wind a rain smashed my sprouts. Most were bent way over looking dead. Though with a clear like tube , and sticks ive managed to stand them back up, there only a couple inches tall. There in a fairly sheltred sunny spot, the best I can manage till the ready harden up and move elsewhere. What's the best shade cloth to get use so to give them a bit of protection. Id like the colour green= camo I know nothing about what to use and any advice wold be great , Ive serched for the answers but cant find the real info I need. One was still standing , its my fav ;-)

Hi guys I’ve been lurking in this forum for ten months and I have already grown three crops. Thanks to all of you that take the time to share your experiences here in the forum! I’m very happy I don’t have to deal with dodgy people or drive/wait for long periods anymore!! Now I have a problem I never had before. I have way too much weed and need to store it. I’m looking to keep the weed for up to three years, is it possible? How long time do you think until start losing potency? Can I keep them in airtight jars or should I been looking into a vacuum sealed bags in the refrigerator? Is it any other methods to store the weed? S. P.S. English is my second …

Hey guys, I've just flicked my first indoor grow ( just this one plant ) over to flower mode, today. about to add some more hydroton to fill it up to the rim of the pot so it doesn't get any fungus etc. how do you guys think my pineapple chunk plant is going so far? I rekon it looks rather beautiful. Excited to see it triple in size during flower! BRING ME DA BUD! haha. I don't know if this is the right area to post but I didn't want to post on grow diaries because this is most likely a one of thread. next grow, I'm doing 4 plants so I'll do a grow dairy!

Hey guys I'm new to growing and will be making a small grow box when I get back to melb. I have got the short rider auto flower fems from nirvana and have no idea whatsoever on what nutes,soil,lighting. I mainly want to know about the nutes. Because I don't know when your meant to water or how often,are you meant to water only when the soil is completely dry? Because I don't want to over water. I just wanna get all the info before I attempt it. If any of you could help me with a regime it would be appreciated a lot. Hey there everyone just wondering how the hell we are supposed to keep our grow room temps below 30c. Its not even summer yet and in already struggling I have loads of fans etc but the best I can hope for is to match outside temps. Air con is not an option. Does it really make that much difference and is there anything I can do about it.
