Just wondering if there are HPS (or dual spectrum mh) globes that throw a bit less heat than your average cheap growlush (which are shit but I have always run because they are cheap!)bulb ect,I run a digital 400w ballast so ceramic is not an option but sunpulse seem to make a good bulb, but the manufacturers never really go into any detail about amount of heat thrown,so I ask because I run a cool tube set up atm and the shitty cheap bulb that's in there throws a lot of heat still,so figured a more expensive/better brand might throw a bit less and you stoners might have some personal experience with dif bulb setups and heat situations? cheers KK

I'm a first time grower & have received conflicting info & advice from friends & media but I figure if 9 out of 10 people say something works then its a good chance it will. So far I'm about 4 weeks in to the flower cycle using Canna Aqua in a recirculating hydro system in perlite and things were going a bit slow due to what I figured to be a bad environment, being winter the temp in the room was 20deg with light on & 15 with it off, relative humidity was high 60s light on & high 70s light off, after putting in CO2 tablets, a heater, dehumidifier, a circulation fan & a inlet fan (was relying on vacumm from exhaust) a week ago the light on temp is n…

As topic title says. I'm trying to find out the best power deal/company. Because I feel that I shouldn't pay $$ when bla bla company can save me $. I would be doing most of my power use at night. So if you could kindly tell me what you pay per k/w and name of company you would be helping everyone that lives in the Brisbane area save money thank you.

Hey everyone. I live in the tropics so its pretty much 12/12 light hours outdoors all year round. I started a few seeds in the veggie patch which have struggled along slowly, they have shown sex and seem to have gone into lockdown a bit. I finally got around to setting up the tent yesterday so the four of them are now under a 600w MH in a cool tube on 18/6. they are getting fed seasol powerfeed for now, untill me flairform green dream nutes get here. I was unimpressed with canna coco so I thought i'd try something new Should i wait for them to grow a bit and tip them? or should i just leave them? we've had an especially cold winter up here so ive set it up in the shed wh…

Just a thought I had that would help fellow friends and stoners of the forum that have been busted by the police and are destined to go through the courts. If their was an account setup by oz for members to donate money into that can't be touched until a certain member has proven a charge of growing or possessing cannabis, has also meet certain criteria set by mods to qualify for a payment towards court fees. Cheers haze Feel I should say I'm in no trouble

Have looked at a few seed sites for answer with no luck. When they say its short, medium, tall is there a guide to know in cm's how tall it will be in 12/12 cycle? As I plan to build custom room for my un human baby's. That's if they arrive but still need to save $$ be for hand. Have read about pinching the tops of them but would like them to grow with out that. So I've still got time to refine my plan. Forgot to say I plan to low stress train them.

Here is my stupid question for the day. Can you take clones from a plant that has already flowered, well and truly? There is still vegative growth (I think) down at the base. Thanks

Some time ago I saw on mythbusters they did a experiment playing music to plants. Has any one done a test to see If playing music to there plants work and if so which type of music worked best. Like hiphop, rap, etc

hey guys i remembered reading once about playing music to plants. so i googled abit and found this http://www.dovesong.com/positive_music/plant_experiments.asp excerpts from article Her first experiment was to simply play a constant tone. In the first of the three chambers, she played a steady tone continuously for eight hours. In the second, she played the tone for three hours intermittently, and in the third chamber, she played no tone at all. The plants in the first chamber, with the constant tone, died within fourteen days. The plants in the second chamber grew abundantly and were extremely healthy, even more so than the plants in the third chamber. then it go…

I need some advice from the grow gurus here. I have read many posts where carbo boosters like molasses have been used in the flowering cycle. I do not have molasses in my larder but I do have a bottle of pure maple syrup. My question is this. Can I use the maple syrup in a dilution of 40 ml/10 litres water to add carbos to my watering cycle in an organic grow during flowering? Is this likely to do the same as molasses, and do I have the correct dilution. I have checked the ph in my tap water with the maple syrup added and it shows about 6.2, with the standing ppm of the fresh tap water being 30ppm (water here is very pure). Any input would be greatly appreciated.
