Funny you should say that as I have often thought it would be so easy for seedbanks to sell whatever seed and call it whatever strain they like. ...But considering that it grew pretty much exactly as the breeder described and also like in the breeders video, I would say that you don't know what you are talking about mattstoner, but thanks for the comment anyway

looks awesome. love the contrast between the really snowy buds and the really rich green leaves
  3. Looking beautiful in natural daylight, never realized under the yellow hps lamp.
  4. billygoat is spot on.. mix strong then add water to bring it down to the desired level. measuring and adding extra nutrients is a lot more time consuming then turning the tap for a few seconds you will need a ec test pen to check. its quite easy to adjust, just add a little water, stir then check. same with ph, get a test pen and a bottle of ph down. my tap water comes out at 6.7ph, after I mix the nutes it brings it down to 6.0-6.1 ph. I have a premixed bottle of water with a little ph down in it (Ph down is very strong undiluted) and just a little dash of that brings it to around 5.7ph. good to go
  5. Fair enough, thanks for the advice. I never really thought it would be a problem till we had 5 days of rain..
  6. Hi, Can anyone with outdoor grow experience please fill me in... Assuming the plant is potted in a coco/perlite mix and fed liquid coco nutrients and left outside. What do you do when it comes to feeding an outdoor potted plant in the winter when it may rain for days? Will a good soaking rain flush out the nutrients? Will the rain have the same effect as over watering the plant as it wont get the chance to dry out? I can imagine with some bad luck a plant may not dry out enough to need a water for weeks. Are you meant to just try to force some in and water when already wet, use different food, cover...? Cheers

    Storage

Everyone seems to agree that air tight is the way to go. I was surprised to hear the in one of the greenhouse seeds official grow videos, they say to cure in a paper bag under 8-10 degrees for 3-5 months? I wouldn't say a paper bag would be very airtight and i would have thought they would want people to cure their strains right? Is this not recommended?
  8. Found that, need 400w though. thanks for looking. Obliterated, You can get solis tek hps and metal halide. They are on their website but unfortunately the don't sell from their website and it is turning out to be a bitch to find a 400w solistek hps on the net for sale. I am thinking I may just ask my local hydro shop if he can order one in for me. I don't know about that one on ebay, it says its hps in the title and metal halide in the description...
  9. no, I don't have another bulb to try. I am going to try with a new bulb, I would prefer a solistek lamp, but where do you buy them?
  10. I am struggling to find a place that stocks the solis tek digital hps lamps or any digital lamp for that matter.. I found a place in aus with Sunpulse digital lamps but I believe they are actually Metal Halide http://www.richmondhydroponics.com.au/lighting/digital-lighting/400-watt-sunpulse-digital-lamps-3-kelvin-for-flowering.html and they are 3k where the solis tek digital hps is 2k. Would the 3k be better for me anyway as I only use the tent for flowering? Anyone know of a good place to get globes or other brands to search for? Searches aren't being very helpful, they keep coming up with digital ballasts... I know my hydro shop doesn't have any digital lamps as they have a web shop..
  11. hmmm, I thought the son-t globes would have been rated for digital ballast, looking at the box and the website it doesn't mention it though.. Any brands I should avoid?
  12. Hi, Recently I have been noticing that my light isn't turning on sometimes. I need to unplug, then replug it in to fire it up. Light is a 400w son-t agro and ballast is a solistek 400/600 digital. Timer is a manual type with the dial on the front, not the cheapest model they had. I don't think its a timer issue as when it happens, the ballast light is on which means power is going through. I believe that narrows it down to the ballast or the globe. The globe has seen 20+ weeks of growing, is that old? and do old globes sometimes have probs firing up? I believe that my ballast is meant to keep attempting to fire the lamp unless there is something wrong. Anyone had a solistek ballast with this issue? As stated above, it only sometimes happens. I have seen it off half an hour after lights on time before so I don't think it was ever going to start up. Thinking im going to just have to get a new globe and see if it still happens..
