  1. Going back to the Grinspoon for a second, it's interesting that seedfinder have updated their lineage. That's a fairly recent change. I knew DJ Short claimed some time ago that Grinspoon was a knock off of his Panama Red X OPT and the more time I've spent with the strain the more I've come to believe that there may be some truth to that claim. I've never grown Senor Garcia so have no direct comparison but Grinspoon definitely ticks all the right boxes for that lineage. Anyone know on what info seedfinder base their genealogies? DNA markers? Educated guesswork? Breeder info? AFAIK Barney's haven't come out and said, yeah we totally ripped off Reef. ~Nitro

But yeah, doesn't jive with my brain chemistry.

  4. Fair point. Cultivation and trafficking.
  5. In my case, the estate agent was informed and I was evicted. This was back in the 90's.
  6. Eccentric, If you've experienced extremely diverse F1's in your experiments, then you were working with unstable parents. Real commercial breeders use stable, true breeding parents to produce their F1 hybrids. I can understand how your experience has differed, but you're not about to turn genetics on its head. This is high school level biology. ~Nitro
  7. Actually, F1's are much more uniform than F2's. Kinda sounds backwards, but that's how it works - With F1's, dominant alleles from each parent come to the fore, hiding recessive traits that were passed on. But the recessive traits still exist in the F1 genome. If you then cross F1's, depending on plant numbers roughly 1/3 of their offspring will express those recessive traits and uniformity is lost. ~Nitro
  8. A couple of mates who had been smoking for a few months had really hyped it up. After saving up enough of my lunch money, I chipped in for a gram and was super disappointed as it had no effect at all - I should've bought lollies. It took me 3 or 4 cracks before it had any effect.
