Easy way 2 check mate is have a look at your roots and look what colour they are. Brown = disease = nute deficiency

Well I think that has been the problem all along, I've always ended up having light brown roots at the end of a grow and although the harvest has been good, Ive always expected better for all the time and effort I've put into it.

 

There's no sign of Pythium yet but I have cooled down the nutrients to 20c and I will add some H2O2 tomorrow.

 

I've been growing hydro for over four years and for some reason I always had it in my mind that the nutrient temps were to be between 24c and 26c.....I done a quick research after reading your post and you were spot on at 21c -/+

 

Hopefully this will solve the problem, thanks to all who responded to my little dilemma.
