Co2 via the roots!

Recommended Posts

after reading the last info jack posted the only prob i see with the research is was the co2 monitored at the ground level as i think the increase in yield after dosing the roots is the co2 coming out of the ground or medium and circulating through the leaves.but hey im no scientist but this is just what logic tells me.i could be wrong. the reason that first made me interested in this was the fact that my other hobby is fish tanks, marine and fresh water.

Ive found that by adding co2 to the freshwater tanks the water plants really crack there growth.

Suppose the only real to know is do a control test with and without the tabs, making sure the nutrient tank is not in the room.

Might throw some in to my mother setup if i can find some local, 2 see if there is any differance.

Yea same Jack, I was thinking about how the c02 makes a HUGE noticable difference to aquairum plants. We all know it works for them.

BUT the leaves are under the water mainly also in that case and it could just be the leaves sucking in the C02.

I did honestly notice a difference when I used it in my res, but it could have been from anything. Maybe even a stronger clone or better oxygenation or something??

I pretty much try something, if it works I keep using it. If i dont then I dont bother again.

Ya know it could even evapourate out of the water and be sucked up by the leaves? and that may have made a difference.

There is only one way pumping co2 into the rootzone will improve growth. And that is by rising up through the medium where the leaves have some chance of absorbing some of it.

Luke is right of course this is a bag of bull, as a lot of hydro store snake oil type products are. co2 in the rootzone is likely only to do one thing, starve your roots of something they actually need. Oxygen.

 come on jack. if it seams to good to be true it prob is. all these pics and shit is just a marketing tactic. these guys have a mortgae to pay just like the next guy. of course they will tell you what u want to hear.

the best co2 for you plants is the most simple. forget ur computer controls, tanks, regulators etc etc. all that is just a bunch of expensive junk and more room for error.

This is my state of the art setup

bottle, sugar, water & yeast

here are a couple of pix. one of my state of the art co2 level tester and the other is it in action.

i spose you could have a lid on the bottle with a line into the fish tank for ur plants. but that wont look to pretty though im sure you could stealth it up.

Total cost you ask??? Fuck all

I just string a few up in front of the fan nice and high

The best things in life are often the most simple.

:thumbsup
