Airless sprayer

Try Blu

Recommended Posts

Lounging on the couch after a few hot ones. Thinking about spraying my plants, and how rubbish my pump sprayers are.
I thInk the droplet size is too large for any sort of decent contact/coverage before run off occurs. (not very effective and wasteful)

Typical garden pump sprayers, 5ltr, 8ltr. Didn’t skimp on them. Probably should have.

Anyways, back to the couch......stoned.......surfing for a better solution.

What about something like this? https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-700w-airless-paint-sprayer_p0048851

Hahaha......gotta be good yeah?

Anyone using paint guns ?

Hand pumps would suit it

Can get atomizers for spraying, I use to use one for fogging out shipping containers at quarantine, could def use it to get a fine mist through plants. Not compatible with all sprays though, not sure how expensive they are as well.

That big sprayer looks exactly like oine I used at my odl job to spray rows of plants, very good shit but also very high pressure needed, I could spray plants from 10m away.

Cheers drunk, that’s sort of what I have already which is cool. :)

I think the gun needs more psi than I can hand push though.........not sure...? https://www.silvan.com.au/rural-lifestyle/atomiser-spray-gun/

That sounds interesting Frank. So you used high pressure for nutrients and pesticides?

Sort of concerned about the high pressure having negative effects on products like BtK , Spinosad, even insecticidal soaps.

I mean......do the soaps just foam out the end at that pressure?

Would surfactants even be used if droplet size is a mist?

Time for  more hot ones...........and some research. lol.

Cheers.

if your not spraying microbials / compost teas , any sprayer should be fine , as pedro said turn the nozzle

to make a finer mist , should be a sticking agent / emulsifier in most bottled pest sprays or you should be

using one if mixing up your own spray , something like silica or aloe or soapnuts or yucca extract or dr bronners

if you need to do microbial sprays the sprayer needs to be a little different to not kill microbes by smashing them

into a spray head that's too small , there are pump sprayers used from concrete , not sure what they use them for

in the concreting game but the nozzle is a little more open , this is expensive but i've seen similar & cheaper at bunnings
