yep he's correct next to no .22 .223 or shotgun shells left here at our local gun shop all got snapped up last week apparently dunno about how gun liscences go over east but here you usually wait on average atleast 10 weeks before gettin the approval to purchase a new gun. thats after you pay a $170 non refundible application fee so they aren't walking off the shelves like the ammo is

Im in the west and most own a fire arm all ready and if you have a license there is no wait on buying another gun.

almost everyone up/down/over here has more than enough guns, I use the axe to kill dodgy animals that need putting down, or the knife if they are to big to kill cleanly with one hit

 

as for dodgy people trying to steal a meal, fuck hope the stnuc can run fast for their sake

worst case scenario i'll borrow a few guns off next door, they got heaps of them
