Drugside road tests for cannabis can return false-negative results, study finds

The accuracy and reliability of devices used to test Australian drivers for the presence of cannabis has been called into question.
Researchers at the University of Sydney have found the tests, which are used in all states and territories, deliver both false-positive and false-negative results.
So are they still useful?

Won't be long and they'll have a video game

You fail test for thc, they bring out the video game to test impairment, you get the car round the track no crashes you pass,crash and you're deemed " over the prescribed dose of thc "

Ha I recently, for the first time, had a couple of cones that my co worker gave me. It knobbled me I could hardly walk took about 2 hours before I could. Then blow me down on the way home I got tested. I could drive ok I had done 6 hours hard work & was driving safely. When the copper asked me for a test I nearly gave him my keys & heldmy hands outto be handcuffed & led away. He came back said all good & off I went

That's happen to me as well, the test kits have to be faulty, let me guess it was the white stick lick trick test ? If so I think they are faulty as... lucky Us for now. I think there's a new version out now, much arrucate then last ones.

Yeah white sticks. I've heard of all sorts of ways to beat it To me it looks like its something to do with acidity so maybe vinegar works.

The tests are testing for residue in the mouth.
If you brush your teeth, tongue too of course, there is no residue to throw a positive.

Vinegar is known to work. I'm assuming the acidity strips the residue from one's mouth.
