A couple of months ago I asked my GP about obtaining cannabis to treat my ongoing symptoms.

"Ohh ahhh, I don't know anything about the processes, I wouldn't know where to start..."

Being that I'm in SA and there being no clinic's here (our state Gov't (Liberal) still have their heads buried firmly up their own arses)  I thought the whole process would be a waste of time

I went investigating and found a clinic in NSW, who would go through the whole process online.

 

So after a couple of weeks of paperwork both from myself and my GP, today I got the call from the clinic and have had the initial approval.

I now have to obtain the approval from the TGA but from what I've been told this should not be a problem and should take less than a week.

The Dr I spoke to has told me that what he would be prescribing is a CBD and THC combination as my situation is pain related.

I asked the Dr about the cost of the medication itself as it is NOT on the PBS and I have to say it is NOT cheap.

The Dr himself would not actually tell me a defined cost but advised me to call the chemist in Victoria.

Upon doing so I was told $270/50ml + postage ($30), so $300 delivered. First thought "Fuck, it'd be cheaper to go buy an ounce" but have decided to follow through with the process.

 

At this point I have not been told of the recommended dosages, so how long that 50ml is going to last I am unsure.

I am also unsure if I may be able to get my local chemist to get it in for me or whether it needs to come from an approved compounding chemist, solely in Victoria.

 

So the processes have been started. The dr and the prepaid TGA approvals have cost me $550 so far (that's without the script itself), so let's see how much more it's gonna cost

When I have any further info I will let you all know.

Hi crew ,the CA Clinic have changed my chemist to one in Vic Hawthorn so it will cost me less for postage .$35.00 down to $20.00 now from Hawthorn so  that will save me a few dollars in postage over a month, Going to get 2 scripts filled then tell the doctor that the 5 gm container is runing out to quick for me an could he up my dose of Floss.

 

I will keep you crew posted to what happens  with my request.

It's got me stuffed why they don't have a card for us medical users of cannabis,So we an the cops don't have to put us through all the bullshit  as to prove that we are allowed to have the medical cannabis.

Hi crew,  my new medication arrived today. 3 containers of cannabis flowers an 1 {40ml bottle of 10-10 tilray oil } .

 

Now just waiting on my new Volcano  Hybrid an  spear parts to arrive,They should be here by mid next  week as I only ordered them today.

 

I ended up buying the Volcano Hybrid an spear parts from Australian Vaporizers as they were the cheapest that I could fine plus they had all the parts  that I needed,Some of the prices of the spear parts were over half the price of other sites that sold the same spear parts,Plus  they gave me free express postage. 

 

The young lady that served me new what I was talking about an she new what she was  talking about so that was great service.

The chemist in Qld were being difficult and they got the message loud and clear that I was none too happy bout it all.

The Hawthorn chemist was quicker, cheaper, nicer to deal with and happy to help.

Hi Crew how are we all going this fine day.

 

I received my new Volcano Hybrid this morning an have just finished reading on how to use it :twiddle: .

 

The crew at Australian Vaporizers were very good to deal with,An they sent everything that I ordered from them   plus they had very good prices on the volcano Hybrid & Hybrid spear parts,Some sites are asking $1,500.00  for just the Volcano hybrid by it self.

 

I brought a new Kannastor -GR8TR-V-2,Grinder as well an my old grinder has seen better days,This new grinder has 2 different grinding plates so you just change to the size plate that you need to grind your cannabis to the rite size for the vaporizer.

 

Now to try out this Tilray cannabis flower out an see what it can do for me. .

 

I will do a follow up report on how I rate the new Volcano Hybrid,If it is anything like my old Classic Volcano solid valve to go by then I will be nicely medicated from the vapor's.

What's the strain Tilray use, do you know?

Does it state the THC vs CBD ratio?

Hi Merlin,they don't tell ya what cannabis strain they use,But they do tell you the THC-CBD Ratio.

 

 The ratio is 10% THC X 10% CBD  The same ratio as the Tilray oil they give me.

 

I found a Australian web site that tell you all the forms of medical cannabis that is sold in Australia an if it is Indica or Sativa or a Hybrid strain an the amount of THC  an CBD that is in the medical cannabis  strain.

 

I will try an find that link an post it here in this thread.

g'day guys ... been a while, but hope all is well for you all.

 

not sure if this helps, but been vaping some Beacon - Girl Scout Cookies (think they are an aussie grower) - it's about $15 a gram and comes in a 10g container at 20% THC.

 

also noticed with my last script that the oil didn't come with the normal attached tga approval ... unless i just lost it.
