Initiating flowering light bulb question

Recommended Posts

Hey crew

When I flip them and change to 12/12 I usually always change the globes from 600mh to hps straight away ... just wondering if there is any difference in leaving the MH bulbs on for the first week or two as the plant transitions or is the redder spectrum preferred ? Probably doesn’t matter I’m guessing but thought I’d ask lol

Thanks !

there has been research into

using the MH light in the last two weeks of flower,

to increase tichcomes production.

Hmmmm - I might do a side by side comparison with my two 600s - leave one and change one back 2 weeks before harvest and see the difference ... let ya know in a couple of months !

sounds like a plan! will be interested in the outcome.

last year I used the 10k cmh globe for the last 2wks in flower

to increase the UVA light, which in turn increased the trics production,

I did not see anything like this, will  try it again this year,

but I am not expecting anything  change.
