That’s in the middle/lower of the north island. Yeah not much growing there and by the army training base probs not the best place however I would go east coast if I was to grow. Generall the hottest and least rainfall from my experience anyway

This is true. Too bad I haven’t seen it haha. I have travelled outside of nz more than in it. Costs as much to locally travel as it does to go overseas in my experience in nz

I've travelled all over it, from Oban (Stewart Island) to Cape Reinga hitchiking

I got stuck in Waiouru during a snow storm (They closed the road) got picked up by a copper. I had 1/2 an oz on me and that got me arrested and taken to Te Kuiti

and yea I can certainly confirm, apart from tussock, there is SFA growing there.

Seemingly it's only a part time station now, but back in the late 80's early 90's it had a patrolling officer. He took me back to Te Kuiti as those were the closest holding cells.
