Man I don't know how anyone could make such a mistake. To me those plants are totally unlike pot.

But honestly, to most people plants is plants. they are green and have leaves and maybe flowers and that is about as far as it goes. You do need a certain amount of experience with horticulture o at the very least an interest in plants to notice the difference between plants.

To me the most pot-like plant is Dizygotheca elegantissima. (a common indoor plant) Leaves look like pot. Similar height to a small pot specimen, and similar growth habit. Just the colour is a bit darker than most weed.

I am so confident in my estimation of public horticultural knowledge that I have a couple of small GSC growing at my front door in amongst some potted tomato plants!!

Anyone seen a young Japanese maple ? I want to plant one in my front garden as I have a bunch of cuttings, but the ice addicts across from me would probably think it's weed and steal it
