Here we have 'some' systems that still do look after the people. You talk of Fabians and the yanks are a perfect example.

Look at the last financial crisis. Who got protected by the U.S government? The money men. Millions and millions got pumped in to protect the banks. And they still screw the people.

So none of the people you listed are actually "running the fucking show". Not one, although I wish a few were. Australia's last prime minister was an ultra right nationalist conservative. Our current one is too scared to do anything because he fears the ultra right. What on earth is this obsession with Fabian socialists? You are a century too late. Australia is about as far from socialist as you can get. More's the pity.
