Cane toads?

Recommended Posts

This is true, though they can be bastards for jumping up into pots and burrowing themselves into the top of the soil/potting mix to keep cool or hydrated during the day.

Around here they're notorious for it, to the point I usually won't water the plants around here 'til late afternoon. Even tried placing gravel on top of the pots, but the big buggers even burrow through that.

Smiling.

Yeah, I have those familiar little round indentations in the tops of my pots also. Mine don’t borrow in so much as the seem to just nestle on top luckily.

They clean up the insects that’s for sure. Scarab beetles, grasshoppers.....pretty much anything the can get their filthy farking hands on I guess.

They help me out a bit so I don’t bash them to death in my garden.

I drive over them on the driveway occasionally (if I’m in the missus car)if that’s any consolation.
