Spots on leafs

Recommended Posts

Any update?

Need a better look  - close ups of leaf damage.

FWIW, some patches remind me of thrip damage - they eat out a clearish patch from a few leaves and leave a thin membrane - slowly at first then fast.

Look really carefully with a 50X scope. The ones I've seen were tiny, translucent, alienish fast moving little monsters - they vary in size and shape.

If there's rapidly increasing leaf damage from nibbled out patches, you need to move fast - they multiply quickly if they're there and can kill plants if untreated.

A dry layer of diatomaceous earth around the trunk to kill the emerging larvae (they can't fly so have to walk to the leaves to eat!) and some spinosad spray/soil drench should clear them up - worked for me.
