Ok... Just thinking about germinating beans to go in the media... Just like coco/soil? Once bean has a taproot place facing down? I'm confused how to use medium...

 

Can I wash the coco off a seedling and place in that medium?

What size pots do you use S.e. and what is you're final pot size

I let the seeds get a little root then I put into an easy plug .after I've gouged out a decent enough size hole in the top of the plug to fit the seed and root .then fill it back in with the left overs from the plug.Seed up root down.

 

Then that can be transplanted into the perlite - vermiculite . Though I often put mine into a rockwool cube ,then to a pot.

 

If you germ your seed on Coco , then just transplant the seedling into the media.no need to wash away any Coco,

 

That's assuming there is about a cup full or so attached to the roots, but that's dependant on size of plant. .if going into a much larger pot then more Coco won't really matter.

 

Also if usingCoco , it transplants better when not too wet .,,,treat roots gently .

 

My last grows you saw were in 200 ml pots .But I'd love to find 250 ml pots ,havnt seen any at Bunnings.

I have that same auto pot system . But made a bigger res. I top feed till I get roots out the bottom then start using that flood valve
