Alright fellas,

bit of an update redid the bench/lighting a easier to work with and more space for the plants while in veg.

 

Unfortunately the big 250W CFL had cracked all along the base.... luckily no broken glass but time for an LED for me I think. Any suggestions guys?

 

Here is the smaller BB OG from the peat pot, looking heaps better believe me, she should just be a few days..

 

The Original BB OG Looking nice, still stretchy but hopefully the CFLs position should reduce that.

 

Got a SSS Nice Chunk sown direct into perlite/vermiculite hempy, hey we'll see how it goes.

 

And two SSS rhino cookies in rapid rooters, something tells me they will do well.

 

Anyway more Rhizo and Great White is in the mail, and I'm on the look out for an LED grow Light to replace these dinky CFLs again if anyone could suggest a mid level LED I'm all ears.

Thanks for asking mate, not too bad although they are gonna need to find new homes when the old Yeah Yeah they're tomatoes mate, honest yarn gets a bit old !

 

Wondering wether to order a Decent COB LED or just use my 250 HPS, also how long under a relatively low powered CFL they should stay, hnmmm.

 

1 Dont mind the stretch, was from earlier when very leggy.

 

2 Little smaller, diff pheno? Who Knows? Not Me!

 

3 Hmm new one (hint NOT a Tomato)

That's a good question . When's a good time to move from a small cfl to a bigger light ?

Through necessity, I've raised seedlings under a 600w HPS before. Waste of electricity though.

I've also regularly started off under 600w HPS, no problems just need to start the light off a bit higher than normal and slowly move it closer.  These days I've got a tiny veg tent and a dimmable digi ballast for starting babies off, and start off at either 250w or 400w depending on ambient temps. 

 

Haven't bothered with fluro lights for seedlings or clones since my T5 shit itself, and have found that HPS seems to get them going stronger and faster so I've never bothered to replace it.

Interesting thanks @Sir PsychoHashy, may try one under the 250W HPS carefully for a while, before i spend the dough on a LED (one day...)

 

Just as a quick one guys, leave tips drooping a bit indicates a little bit of overwatering generally right?

I wouldn't be trying to read too much from those seedlings .they look good enough ,but don't constantly water or fuss too much .
