ive got a plant with a confused root in my current grow, not as confused as yours.

its growing ok and keeping up with the others.

when the seedling gets a bit bigger you can build up the soil to cover the root more.

i dont know if that will make it grow any better but somehow it would make me feel better

re your little plant: the recovery seems to be going OK but be careful not to overfeed or feed too often

it can take a few weeks for the plant to show a full recovery and more is not always better with plants.

for a plant that size i think you could give more than 1/4 strength. 1/2 or 3/4 would not be too strong.

depends on whats already in the soil.

 

nice clean and tidy tent.

i'm a bit anal myself and like to keep the grow space in that sort of condition.

also like the nice chrome trolley for keeping the plants off the floor.

bar the little one, they are in top condition mate.

your doing a good job.

 

the only comment i would make is that soil tester is shit house.

the Manutek soil tester kit for the same price at bunnings is much more accurate.

its a bit more fiddly but you only need to test soil once a week. 

the PH doesn't move that quickly in soil, not unless your dosing with massive amounts of nutes.

That yellow plant remains an experiment not expecting anything from it maybe just ease the learning curve for future plants. These seeds aren't fem so might not even be a girl haha.

 

That's actually just a moisture tester I just ph the mixes before I pour them with a ph pen haha. I expect the moisture meter to still be pretty useless!

 

It's in canna terra which is Ph buffered to some extent as well and this stuff has no nutes in it at all so will give a go at maybe 1/2 dose.

 

Haha that trolley thing has been great! The carbon filter sits on top and takes some pressure off the tent frame as I'm not currently using a very sturdy tent.

Is it too early to flip? I'm in a bit of a time pinch and would like to be done by mid Jan if possible.

you can flip to 12/12 when the seedlings are only 2 week old little scrawny soft twigs.

i've done many grows with excess seed stock in a S.O.G. in a tent that way, got the plants out of the coco/soil for 14 days, day 15 i went to 12/12. I generally got around 21-28grams each plant still.

 

They may be a lot less than you think you will get.

you said its only an experiment. guessing you just want to watch the whole process.

 

next time veg them bigger and bigger for an extra month before flowering under HID lamps or 3W  LED setups.

you will thank yourself for the extra veg time with lbs of bud to smoke.
