those bigger 14 litre pots are a good idea mate.

hope their big enough to take you through the summer.

Yeah i was going to go 20l but i want to try keep them at a reasonabke height so going to see if the 14 keeps the size down a bit

as far as a living soils go , the more the merrier 

 

40-50 liters is easier to keep all the benne's happy & alive

than 15-20 liters 

 

plus root bound plants can have all sorts of probs or none at all

it's the chance you take with smaller pots  

 

you are right though bigger pot bigger roots bigger plant

topping twice & lst will help with vertical growth 

 

the stretch is the biggest issue i think , some plants don't get 

that much bigger in flower but some double in height 

pineapple chunk for one went from 300-350mm at the start of

12 & finished @ 1m high with no lst or topping
