I agree, it is a complete farce.  The legislation is so restrictive there does not appear to be any room for small time producers to get into the game.   the ODC in conjunction with the TGA have indicated that only about 3 football fields of cannabis will be required to satisfy the entire medical community..  The way it is being setup the vast majority of medical users will remain criminals.

There is a crucial need for states to step up and at the very least, grant an amnesty for all medicinal cannabis use.

Judges always have the option of using their discretion. They always just go with the letter of the law and don't use common sense. If an obvious med user fronts up to court they can just send them on their way. Too bad they have no balls.
