Why is this happening? Ideas?

Recommended Posts

Dont let coco dry out like it is soil. Keep it moist. Ensure there is always runoff after every feed. If you have a plant that will be in vege for an extended period of time over say around 4 weeks or so dont bother using a one part nutrient like canna coco. Keep an eye on humidity. As your plant needed less water as it was perishing you fed it the same ammount. Damping off occured, like i said also keep an eye on humidity levels. a sick plant doesnt need to be fed a shitload of water/nutrients in an attempt to remedy an ailment. Did you grow one variety/strain ?

If you would like to read a little on cations, not that it matters... just note coco is not soil and dont treat it as such.

If you recognise that coco itself is inert unlike soil and read the text under subheading "Movement of nutrient from soil to root" you may recognise the differences between coco and soil.

http://www.ctahr.hawaii.edu/mauisoil/c_relationship.aspx

That might be worth a read, maybe not all of the text though perhaps the latter half of the text and the introduction.

I do have a tendency to over-complicate things though, its in my nature.

Hope i was of some assistance, keep at it. Regardless of the update on the meristem what was aforementioned still applies.

The above post is a great example of why you have to take information with a grain of salt. If the author of that post understood the technical terms he used he would realise that not only did he over-complicate things, much of what was said is incorrect.

Much of what i said was incorrect ? Coco does have a different cation exchange rate due to its cec. What the fuck are you talking about? It is common knowledge. He didnt understand the wiki article. I provided him with a link that he can read to identify the potential differences between coco and soil so that in the future the problem doesnt persist.

Still keen for a grow off with you nay' put up. Everything i said was legit. From my first post to the last.

Might need to read up a little you rude prick and post some photos of the blueberry or it never happened....... lol

Search for Syb3 rm3nt41_%20's posts using the search function. You dont see real grows like that round' these parts hey nay ;) Theyre mine. The Male/Female seed selection thread has plants grown in coco if memory serves.

Sadly, not one person has chimed in to give you advice on how to succesfully grow in coco which is not at all fucking surprising.

Having grown in coco for more than a half dozen successful grows the advice i gave was legit and is absolutely common knowledge. Canna coco nutrients are good if youre growing small plants for a short vege period, when the nutrient strength is increased come bloom if you are growing large plants for an extended vege period you will start to notice Nitrogen toxicity as you gradually increase the strenght of the nutrient solution in bloom. This is all what i mentioned previously.

Still waitin' for decent grow journals though from the members, Where are the photos of MY blueberry nay, photos or it never fucking happened. My blueberry looks like a finer specimen than any other pissweak blueberry on this site, its absolutely photogenic. lulz!

I was referring to a few of the statements in your post. The cation statement was not one of them. I chose not to pick your post apart piece by piece because that is not the point of this thread. The OP wanted to know why his problem was happening and that has been achieved.

For all of your grow off challenges, past identity revelations, big upping yourself, etc, please start your own thread in the appropriate section.

Thanks.

Shouldn't a past id revelation that was a banned, cause a new ban. I have been long time member of other forums and THAT is one thing never tolerated.

I am very grateful for the light touch moderation here, such a nice change except in certain circumstances.

I agree. Not my call or something that I can do though.
